We know Dalton is good for a game or two. He shows us what the offense maybe could be with a QB who can consistently make accurate throws and has the arm strength to at least worry the defense a little.

My golf game has improved significantly because of the panthers struggles.

And to think, there’s a growing number of their fans that want to move on from their head coach, gm, and quarterback. The latter due to durability and concerns about him making all the throws or them being able to rely on him to make plays like scrambling for a down.

I pay it no mind I am what people would deride as xenophobic. Meaning I preferred what we were doing in America and thought we had about the best sports and music. Actually we did. I think anyone around here at this point is truly a fan (or masochist) and yet another disappointing season doesn’t matter. Where’s that converted Jets fan lol…wonder if this is worse or better. But I remember when this joint first started (third username) and it was much busier. Even when places like Reddit started taking over in place of forums. My newish girl didn’t have a NFL team but liked college football and loves watching. Last year I got Her a Panther shirt she wears on game days. She was excited. But I’ll be damned it’s near impossible to get anyone to be a fan of this team, she says now they just aren’t exciting despite still watching with me and wearing her shirt. Tepper is just pure poo.

Oh man I didn't know Dalton finished up the game in garbage time and got that last 7 points lol. Watching the replay I know backups were in but that resembled something closer to actual NFL football than the first 3 and a half quarters.

Some general musings after a minute: The run game is dull, glanzlos. Barely any pin & pull, twitchy misdirect, 12 personnel gap, pre-snap motion, Canales is inside/outside zone all day. Maybe 25-30% gap. Whats weird is that this was a super similar issue with Reich who was unflinching in his ecosystem. Passing game was WC, mesh heavy concepts, Running was Split zone and some stretch. Canales is somehow even less creative than Reich in the run game, but he thinks vertically in the pass. There is no focus on getting a guy, to his advantage, in space. It’s just these bland runs, bland passes, some interesting deep looks a few times. I’m honestly leaning in the d-coach direction as HC. A guy to establish culture and tenaciousness. The offense can be just as good as the crap we’ve got used to. Need to find the right guy to create the right environment.

The team will respond and beat the Dolphins on Sunday... but then get blown out by the Cowboys the following week.

Okay cool. I remember hearing him talk about doing multiple things from the same personnel packages, last season. Which was supposed to be an advantage. I haven’t watched a game this year. Radio, highlights analysis on YouTube. I am limited right now. My rudimentary knowledge of offense is like, the 11, 12 personnel and that stuff. And the field of play and where the ball goes. Like, short short short mostly.. So maybe I don’t have the chops for and advanced discussion of multiple formations, etc. And it may have been whet I remember is that he could run the same plays from multiple formations? I did a different profession and we knew how to make it work with what we had but sometimes you just don’t have enough to do the things you like to do.

Yeah times are a changing. Lots of different ways to do the fan communicato. I respect they want their own thing, it is what it is.
