Panthers cannot afford to fug this up again. I wouldn't invest a number number one pick on a QB again in this draft...always a roll of the dice. To many areas of dire need. Choose Dl, Edge or LB for our first round pick. Add another Oline player in the middle rounds. No more PROJECTS or INJURED players please. The QB situation is dicey. Will he ever emerge due to his limited physical abilities or not? They obviously need a plan B on the roster. I HATE to say it, but maybe a veteran like Winston for Canales to work with would be an option short term. This season is going down the drain fast.

I did not watch the game just the breakdowns. I haven’t watched any defensive stuff of us. Obviously did not know that. But no designated Hail Mary thrower, Bryce remains alone at the ‘top’.

If we were a top offense, I’d agree but we aren’t so our chance of getting 3 2 pointers is basically 0. There were two calls. Go for 2, which I understand but don’t agree based on our futility, and the actual play call, which was awful both times. Play action fake with a leak out and/or rollout to increase the number of opportunities like a QB run in or multiple targets. We, unfortunately, limited ourselves to one chance and after the first run was stuffed you’d think we wouldn’t do the same thing twice but we did and got the same result.

Bryce is not a realistic candidate for New Orleans because of SEC reasons and I am dead serious about that. they won’t bring in an Alabama qb.

Going for two was the correct decision at the time. Three td's and three two point conversions ties the game. Otherwise, you have to score four times. The coach made the correct call, I don't think any objective analyst would say otherwise.

The Young Canales combo will never be anything resembling aggressive. They are both very mild mannered and timid.

The eagles are way too smart for that. They would want us to include a 1st or a 2nd to make that trade. They have a great chance to win another SB this year so I doubt they even listen to offers until the season is over.

It's a bit of both. Running game can open up deep passing opportunities but if you can threaten deep, it will keep them from loading up the box. We aren't particularly good at anything currently. That's part of the problem

That's all this team does is chase points no matter the situation.

He commanded too much respect from the players. They played too hard for Steve. Only time I’ve ever seen the team come out and play hard for 4 quarters was in some of the games Wilks coached.

Its hard to run the ball when the opposing D crowds the line of scrimmage every play. Young needs to make them pay with longer passes when they do that but he cant. Young = bad run game.

Does he not already do that? The go route stuff is to just make space for the constant dink and dunk. That's why it dries up near the 20 where it gets tough. Difficult to defend? Just get up in scores and lean into it. If they can send pressure without going too soft in coverage it will work agaisnt the Panthers. I still think the offense is a QB away from instant improvement.

I don't know how about 5 at this point. I think that window has closed. Getting the easy stuff early and being notoriously unprepared every year is blowing up in their faces. 3 might be the max. It's a weak take like it was a weak game. It was garbage time against backups. That's his shine time. It's should be made fun of because it was pathetic. The WRs were gassed? What about the backup DBs? Those guys must have been really tired since they sit on the bench most of the time. I mean...that is a crazy easy schedule from start to finish. You are looking at one elite team and as many as three upper tier teams. Other than that, it's middle of the pack or cellar dwellers. I wouldn't start calling shots on us losing out. We have all been here before.

Well, Hooker was a guy that was drafted in the 3rd round pick sitting behind a well established starter yet Detroit somehow saw enough to let him go after two offseasons. Where does that fit into your ideal situation?

Like that matters. That's the first thing. I suggested that it's probably better to let a QB sit and learn, and that's what I meant. Secondly, in what planet am I making excuses, my friend, or engaging in any mental gymnastics in Bryce Young's defense? As I have said, I don't care if he turns into Mighty Mouse, it's time for him to go. In my opinion, he's too short to be a successful QB in the NFL. I have seen enough. I'd rather trade him and take my chances with Hooker, at least he's more of a prototypical size and can actually see where and why he's throwing the ball.
