Good catch!

I Think Miami singed Salyer recently...
-
I want to like Woods more, but there's something about him that I don't think will translate well over to the NFL. I thought he and Banks had potential to be our pick at 19, but I'm moving more away from this....defintely on Banks. If Freeling isn't there at 19, I hope we move back. In the mid-20s, I'd feel more comfortable with Iheanachor or Lomu. I don't feel like Miller can play LT, though he'd be a great replacement for Moton at RT. I'm also out on Proctor for OT.
-
Of the two, Decker would be my choice, but not at the pricetag he would command. TBH, I'm in the Salyer camp as a competent fringe starter that is better than Yosh was, but unsure if he can hold up for 17+ regular season games. My guess is he would be a gamble like others are making on Chenal, Turk, etc. in rolling the dice on a promising young guy stuck buried on a talented depth chart.

Yeah, leaving Miami Ohio out would be dumb. Almost as dumb as now calling the play in games the "1st round". In a field of 64 you can't tell me there's not room for a 31-1 team. Hell, I volunteer my Heels to stay at home and give them our spot. LOL

Latest on Panthers free agency plans
TheSpecialJuan replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
The three teams are Panthers, Broncos, Eagles. Source is telling me it's likely Panthers & Broncos, since Eagles is likely a pivot move if they can't re-sign Goedert. https://x.com/dixonsydernfl/status/2032442043595690437?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA -
I think its on the draft board, just a spot I forgot to add a "yellow" TBD.
-
Thanks for this post. I hope we can find someone who can handle the speed rush.
-
I just saw this and was looking for a spot to post. Whoever we get is going to get trial by fire for sure. Some big names coming our way this season.
-
So you're comfortable with what we have? If not, do you just roll the dice on a rookie LT, that we really aren't guaranteed to get. Only a few guys in this draft can start day 21 at LT.
-
I think we will attempt to sign Curhan to be the fourth guard at league minimum. Not- a good G draft....I am not sure about RB--we need to see Brooks.- Definitely still see LB as a huge need-if Wallace starts, we are weak at Will. Round 2 will/should be our next starting will LB. (Golday is my choice)

neither both are ass cheeks

I appreciate this. Out of curiosity, are you assuming that we are not adding to the C position? I am thinking they add a C since Fortner is on a 1-year deal and the OL is so cap strapped through 2028 or later. I am also aware that they like Samac--so just wondering how others are approaching this. I mock C to the Panthers in round 3 or 4 usually.

That’s not what I said

Great thread--the tea leaves are forming.

OTs are getting bigger and this team especially likes bigger ones. would not be surprised if they really like Proctor more than the average fan does. He’s got atypical movement skills for a guy his size-a valuable attribute they are pretty familiar with after watching the Rams twice up close this past season.
-
Yeah before he played those last few games hurt, he was a damn mvp candidate easily.
-
Must pick one at 19 now, as long as it's not a reach.

Davidson got it done for me barely but a dumb bet on more Europa League knocked my profit yesterday. -3 units on the day but I feel like that was my first negative day of the last 2 weeks

Yeah I don't really care. Stupid greed and conference realignment has killed midmajors having a real chance. To me schedule is irrelevant if you win every game in the regular season. Regardless of level of competition you deserve your spot in the 64 if you finish the regular season with 3 or fewer losses. They're going to get their ass kicked round 1 but I wish more smaller conference teams would refuse to play power 4 competition and muddy the waters a bit. Outside of the opening thursday-friday of the tourney, bracket buster Saturday was my favorite day of college basketball. If they do expand the tournament I want more 26-4 regular season winning teams and less 17-15 12th place big ten teams in the tournament.

We could call him "The Anchor" for years to come
-
Both goals came on bad turnovers- one in the neutral zone, the other behind the net. The D nor the goalie could have stopped either. Defense did their job, holding them to 16 shots, but transitioning to offense, they just turned the puck over too many times. The top line was MIA and RBA was playing the 4th line more. It's choke time. The Canes will go .500 down the stretch and will likely fall to a 2 or 3 seed.
