Should Dave Canalas be on the HOT seat??
Khyber53 replied to Jackson113.2's topic in Carolina Panthers
After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one. I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here. - Today

The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.

Should Dave Canalas be on the HOT seat??
Panthero replied to Jackson113.2's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years. -
Yeah I think he's just talking continuity it's not really an endorsement. Also I would think CarolinaHuddle of all places would understand using "we" for the team you follow. I can't STAND when dorks do the "Oh so you play for them then? Hurr hurr"

Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.

We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).

Mike Kaye: LB Devin Lloyd could be a realistic possibility
strato replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hear you but yeah like you say, above average. His numbers were good. You’d think it would be a no brainer. Anyhow… I guess the new staff is also fine with him walking? I hope if we sign him there isn’t some secret issue of his that led to him not being valued. -

Because they had a different staff that was not putting him into the best position to thrive, though he was still above average (unlike what some were suggesting during preseason), and that staff was fired. -
My son is 27, & I'm still waiting to experience it. I guess that I should be happy he doesn't have any out of wedlock, but...*sigh*

Having him and Trevon in the middle of the defense would be huge. Also, we are getting a massive edge upgrade to go with Nic... so the defense should be revamped. -
All things considered, going 2-2 without 3 huge pieces is good. It was a time when we'd lose all 4.
-
Missing 3 key pieces will do that.

Okay that is higher than I thought. The money has gone crazy. I was talking about the cost of his 5th year option probably not being that much. Which I guess just 12 months ago they declined. But that shouldn’t have been all that much. -
Man this depth sucks ass though lol.
-
2-2 without moose and bridges. Not bad. Beating a bad team on the road by 30 is what good teams are supposed to do

Tagging Devin Lloyd would be really expensive as CSX said. 28M. - Yesterday

Top 5 draft targets for positions of need

Sadiq wasn't quite as good this year as I was anticipating. wouldn't hate the pick but would much rather draft a LB, edge, pass rushing DT, CB, OT and yes even WR over him -
congrats, our daughter is five months old, she was born right after the Arizona game so for all of you asking what turned our season around, look no further

I can't stop laughing at how huge they made the football in comparison to Bryce. I think they're just trolling us.

Its been laid out here numerous times what a team would look like with cMC, DJ, Carter, and what other draft assets we gave away. Fitt and co panicked and the only person that wanted to pumped the brakes was samir and he was fired. I said all along stay at 9 and see what happened then make a decision, then we made the move it should have been stroud. Oh well lets hope for a miracle this season

What it really proves is you don't have to sell the future to go up to 1 to get a QB. Finding a QB with the tools and having a good coach/system in place makes more impact than draft rankings.
