  2. The OL has certainly been better than the trainwreck it was three or four years ago. As far as competitiveness let's apply some realism and clarity here. Quite a bit of the competitiveness in 2025 came from the defensive side of the ball which gave up the most points in league history the year before and was one of the bottom 5 units in terms of salary cap allocation for 2025 while the OL was top 3. We had the 26th passing offense last year. And if not for a herculean couple of games from Rico Dowdle we don't back our way into the division title or make the playoffs because we went 4-6 in our final ten games including being swept by the Saints who were starting a rookie 2nd round pick most of us mercilessly mocked when they selected him. In conclusion yes we've seen a difference. The question now is will the investment pay off the way we want. But the only way that happens is if we field a top 15 offense. If we can't even crack the top 20 then there need to be some very warm seats across the board. And I would hope just about anyone here should agree with that.
  3. These Spurs are lowkey loaded. If healthy, they could win it all this year (#2 in the West right now). I still think we’ve gotta keep Kalk on Wemby; he’s not getting completely dominated like every other NBA center.
  4. Am I the only one who doesn't understand this fan bases infatuation with adding a high end TE? Especially when we have some bigger bodies in T-Mac and Coker who can slide into the slot at times and provide the big dependable target over the middle that most teams use their TE for. I mean, sure, it would be nice to have one of those elite TE's, but I feel like that's a position your better off going cheap with a committee who each bring something different to the table while spending our cap room on the more important positions. I like the potential we saw from Evans this year, Sanders could be a best if he can stay healthy, and Tremble has improved as well. Just feels like spending high draft picks or cap space on other needs and more important positions is a better use of our resources than splashing on a TE in the draft or FA. Are those guys on the level of the Bowers or McBride's of the world? Of course not, but we also are paying a fraction of the cost on our TE room than they are, and we're able to use that money for other needs.
  5. I’m happy most of us are on the same page about this team finally taking the fs position seriously. I’d be happy with a draft like this. I think we’re in a prime position to transform this defense to elite with a good draft like this. I’d also be happy if we went all offense too, which SHOULD increase the offense productivity from last year but we have some questions on that side of the ball regardless. I think the best defense wins the division easily and we’ve seen time and time again, how far an elite defense can take you.
  6. How many 1st round picks do we need to catch the 180 yards ppg we average?
  7. This mock is pretty much spot on to how I see the entire first round playing out as of today https://www.fantasylife.com/articles/nfl-draft/2026-nfl-mock-draft-carnell-tate-stays-in-ohio
  8. Hornets have really not looked good this whole west coast trip. This one starting rough
  9. Today
  10. Gronkowski, Olsen, Gonzalez, Shockey etc etc - they couldn't fill in at RB. Why would I want a TE to fill in at RB?
  11. WTF is threads is that like a twitter? I don’t do social media so I’m not hip on this poo.
  12. I feel like we never have good luck with these not-sure-what-position-they-play or how-they’ll-be-used type guys. A certain Appalachian State QB comes to mind.
  13. Well I guess Wemby has decided to play tonight. Ruh Roh. I’m thinking we put Kalkbrenner on him a lot early (if Kalk fouls out, so be it). Will be interesting to see the lineups Coach Lee puts out there. This is gonna be a tough one.
  14. You just have to take the correct tackle. Obviously earlier just means you're guaranteed to get your guy. I'd like to see us invest in an OT. Moton's knees aren't going to last forever and we need a LT and likely a swing tackle next year. I'd like to see us drafting a tackle every 2 years somewhere in the draft, unless we hit on 2 bookends, then every 3. Quality tackles are hard to get and 2 of their contracts can be hard to manage. Between injuries, cap, and just the constant need to replenish depth, it's a position that I don't think can really be ignored because we think we're OK at the position.
  15. In a way, if he does not, there are a few others we can grab. I would say that Theineman is the gold standard this year---he would make a lot of people better--ever notice how often DBs turn around and look at each other when they get beat deep? You can almost hear their confusion. Thieneman would minimize that stuff--
  16. We can still restructure Jaycee's contract and/or extend Damien Lewis if the front office chooses to do so
  17. Morgan gets a lot of credit--not only did he fill holes, he filled them with upgrades. The top edge in free agency (best fit for us, imo) The top ILB in free agency A starting LT that has slightly better numbers than our LT and he got him for about half what LTs went for last year in free agency A starting C with better numbers than our starting C for half the salary I mean, getting 4 starters in free agency at those positions is incredible. 4 starters of 22 possible starters. We should add two more through the draft (ILB, S) at least
  18. Love the analysis. I’d love to go safety especially Thieneman but I’m having doubts he gets to #19. He seems to be seen more as one of the few blue chip prospects in this draft. I think a really good DL is going to fall to #19 to beef the front 7.
  19. EMN may be 6'4'' but he looks a buck fifty. If a S isn't a ball hawk they need to be a thumper, and this guy looks like neither to me. Bijon would knock his dick in the dirt.
  20. Everytime I do a mock he has moved up 5 spots. I can't keep up with him.
