I like everything except Jarvy to 2C. Size is an issue, but his FO% is atrocious! Leave him on the wing where he excels in almost every aspect we ask of him.

The Wild say they’re gonna match any offer. I don’t know what the deal would have to look like to keep them from matching, but I would suspect it would be steep.

The Canes were talking to them about both before Ehlers signed.

Barnwell - Ranking WR, TE, RB Groups in NFL

Who gives a crap what our ranking is in July. Now December that is different. Makes for great locker room material for Canales to use to prove em wrong -
I wouldn't mind a deal that would add Rust or Rakell from the Pens. Move Jarvy to 2C, send KK and a prospect to Pittsbhrgh. Pittsburgh is taking calls for both. And both of them have played very well against Carolina.

I liked James on a personal level. I still do. But he had his flaws too and what's done is done. Charles Lee will get this season to showcase what he's building. If he and the team look like poo he should be on a very hot seat. But I don’t expect that to happen. I could be wrong. But I'd rather not be in this instance. Regardless. At some point we're going to be lucky to hire anyone worth a damn if we keep firing coaches. It's not something any of us should want to see because it's only going to mean yet another reset. Best case scenario is Lee with this infusion of youth establishes a refreshing culture change. We'll see.

Barnwell - Ranking WR, TE, RB Groups in NFL

This is preseason fluff, I know he has Buffalo 28 and they might not be are studded but they will perform over expected which can easily happen to the panthers. This is the “name game/franchise name”. I would put us against Green Bay in terms of talent but Green Bay is gonna get the benefit of the doubt -
Should the Canes go after Rossi?

We sucked, T-Mac was the only reason I even watched our games this past year.
-
He was a QB in middle school before Fifita joined the team and he moved to WR, he's 100% a player we can do a WR pass with at some point
-
We should trade KK to the Sharks. They need to spend money. We don't want KK. It's a win/win trade.

Moore may get a PS but most likely get cut

I agree with this

Barnwell - Ranking WR, TE, RB Groups in NFL
kungfoodude replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's fine but you are just ignoring his logic behind because you just simply don't like it. That's your prerogative, certainly, but it doesn't invalidate his perspective. I would say if you weight the groups similarly to how he does, it's very hard to justify us being outside the bottom 5. On paper our WR group is easily bottom 3 in the NFL and our TE groups is probably bottom 5 too. As good as our RB corps is, for a "weighted towards WR" ranking of WR/TE/RB groups, it's very hard to justify anything outside the bottom 5. I don't see any reason to dispute it at all. These guys have to go out on the field and prove they are better than that. Nothing special about that scenario for a boatload if very unproven players. It just is what it is. -
He won 39 games his first year. Then we made the correct decision and let our franchise player walk. Obviously that comes with a step back and a rebuild. 23 wins in a COVID shortened season 33 wins 43 wins then fired. He was building a competive basketball team with an incompetent owner and was fired because we got butt fuged in the play in

I am not gonna subscribe but I just plain don't believe we have had many offers.

It's how long that statement remains true that is the problem every year. Last year it was 15 games. The year before 20 games. The year before that, they didn't make it to Halloween.

The problem with Borrego is that development you speak of amounted to one step forward two steps back more often than not. And when we got to any playoff atmosphere that development went right out the window. The mistake was firing him and having absolutely no answer except running it back with Clifford. That was a horrible decision obviously. For me I don't think this franchise is going to fire and hire their way into being competitive and relevant again. Lee needs to show improvement this upcoming season. But your argument of firing him now while running cover for Borrego doesn't make much sense sir.

Barnwell - Ranking WR, TE, RB Groups in NFL
Davidson Deac II replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Don't care. We have two thousand yard rushers. The receiving group is pretty much the same, except that we added a first round pick and Renfrow. Tight End group is the same. Just goes to show how arbitrary some of these rankings are. It was basically they were bad last year (at least to start the year) so they will be even worse this year. -

Players were actually developing under him imo. Something that wasn't happening under Clifford and players like miller seemed to regress before injuries last year. I still think they should fire lee and try to hire thibs or Malone if they're available
