  1. Past hour
  2. Well, he's half right. This city is soft af. Hell, most of the people here arent from here. And the ones that are, are all wine and cheese crowds. This city doesn't deserve an NFL team.
  3. Bad teams with new coaches that want to make a splash with big passing games kill young QBs. Solid teams that can lean on the run and play-action give a chance for QBs fresh out of college to grow and learn how to dictate a game. A lot of these guys, and maybe even Bryce, aren't horrible but they are being asked to go in and be something unrealistic. They are expected to be able to put out raging dumpster fires after being handed a bucket and being told to go find some water. And I think we see some of these guys who were labeled as busts eventually developing into serviceable, sometimes decent, sometimes quite good QBs when they land at a well-built team with good coaching and a solid identity. Mayfield, and Darnold are two that come to mind right now. And the two Joneses are certainly showing more in Indy and San Fran than they'd ever really shown before. But we're a shoddily built team that has been weakly coached into a softer style of football that puts crazy amounts of pressure on young QBs. Heck, even Andy Dalton with his experience really couldn't sustain any results here.
  4. 1. Charlotte has been very good to Smitty and his comment is out of line. 2. XL is Smitty, just 180 degrees out of phase. He is the quintessential anti-Smith. Give 89 the ball and he will win a game for you. His high gear was terrifying and he was fearless. He was the bully on every snap he ever played here. XL is Mr alligator arms who lives in fear of contact. He gets boxed out by guys he outweighs by 40 pounds and looks generally clueless. Why he has chosen to defend someone he would have BBQ’ed as a teammate stumps me.
  5. Fake outrage from an entertainer... And yes he would have absolutely chewed him out on the field for that kind play.
  6. If we were smart and didn't draft Bryce until we had a better oline and wr's, he would have done much better. However, he would still have been a lower end qb with serious limitations and that would eventually have come out. I feel like we have a fairly decent offense in place for a new qb now, but probably face a lot of change at GM, DC, and HC. I feel like Morgan and Evero need to go at the end of the year so the new GM can bring in his own scouts and create a plan for the future (i.e., fire Canales and do not pick up BY's fifth year option at the end of '26).
  7. Yeah, ever since he got exposed for rearranging other men’s wive’s IUDs, raw dogging mind you, he has really let loose. It’s a weak ass city you made your home and birthed and raised kids in. STFU.
  8. Smith would’ve beat him up great player. Troubled human
  9. There's a ton of consistency. Linebackers miss far more tackles than they make. Safeties, one in particular, takes poor angles all the time. The quarterback consistently plays every first quarter with his eyes closed, the WRs other than two consistently look like they're in the UFL and the entire defense celebrates when it holds a RB to a 15-yard carry.
  10. Mr Rogers aka Dave lol NFL is a production league best players should play the NFL is also the ‘not for long’ league and out of it is where Dave is going to find himself he needs to find something this team can do consistently…if anything
  11. Steve’s starting to treat Charlotte like he treated his wife
  12. You mean the guy that has won his division 2x and a play off game? That same guy?
  13. He was always critical of DJ Moore, a player 100x as good as XL.
  14. Being an elite QB is putting the team on your back. Being an elite QB Elevates everyone around you. Being an elite QB is someone who comes in clutch when it matters.
  15. We root for players that clearly try and that show some potential. They don't need to be super stars even. Of course, when they show early potential (Coker) or are already making a major impact (T-Mac) we are pretty damn excited about them. And many of us made excuses for XL last year, but this year... Man, he's just not it.
  16. XL's jaw would already be wired shut from when 89 broke it. 89 would have HATED XL. HATED. He checks all the boxes of what 89 hated. First round pick. Commercials. Money. No play.
  17. Next thing you know, he'll be giving marriage advice......
  18. Oh, is that the long haired fellow on our team who couldn't tackle a cold?
  19. 89 has turned into a clown. Hit folks with the if you didn't play above HS level ball you really shouldn't talk about NFL players sucking lol. yeah, Steve,we will. I bet if your insurance agent sucks butt at his job....you are going to comment on it without having your insurance license. I don't need to of played in the NFL to know XL isn't even meeting HS level expectations....walking back to the line in a hurry up. I have known my share of NFL folks over the years. They aren't all super humans w/ advanced football IQ brains. Some are just insane athletes. It's why the NFL career is so short. and don't get me started on the good ole boys club of coaching. Just like everywhere else, lots of bad folks are working in the NFL because of who they know....just like literally every other profession on the globe.
  20. Yeah, Smitty is talking as an announcer. Would Smitty have said that if he was playing on the same team as XL and watched XL kill a drive because he couldn’t drag his toe on the third step? I don’t think so.
  21. Smith was a great player in the NFL but his opinions can be very hit or miss. It’s hard to defend XL’s numbers especially when our other first round pick is getting heavier coverage which should free him up. Effort shows on film and you can’t deny that he has had lackluster blocking, route running, and most importantly RESULTS.
  22. At least spell the man's name correctly.
  23. He didn't have any complaints back when he was playing on an NFC championship team.
  24. He needs to actually watch him play. It's year 2 and they had to spend a top 10 pick on a guy who he could have been. Put up or STUF
  25. There’s a weird thing that goes on in here over some of our backups. BC, Mays and Zavala are OK backups but they are starter level players. BC got nothing in FA and cam back to us. Our team talent level is at the bottom of the league. We certainly don’t have 8 NFL starter level OL on our team. Having to play Mays and Zavala/BC is not a good thing for us.
