I'm just so glad I stand on the right side of history on this trade.

Sam Darnold can’t throw the ball past the line of scrimmage.

Idk that bucs game there when it mattered was pretty damn big. Then the dumbasses round here changed it to no 4th quarter game winning drives as the metric to kick Sam to the curb following the game. Welp those folks got karma as a bitch named Bryce and now say the silly stat isn't so important. I find it amusing the most contrived metric in 2022 to blast Sam after the bucs game with brady throwing to prime Mike Evans is now suddenly useless when Bryce is a god at that stat. It is dumb now and was dumb then. Glad Sam has a legit team to actually hold a damn lead. Rhule and Fitt screwed up in 2022 and set us miles back, not Sam nor Baker. Now Fitt is one of the worst to ever do it, and screwed us so bad. To start 2022 we kept Rhule, then scape goat via Joe Brady, to pennies for CMC, to not accepting the Burns over pay, to overpay for Bryce. He wrecked us in 12 damn months, much less only 1 top notch players in 3 drafts in the top 10. Incompetent. -

Agreed. -
Kept Darnold and draft JSN. It's not like there weren't possibilities if we had been mildly intelligent.
-
The problem was .....we also had Matt Rhule at the time
-
I liked Sam with us, but let's be real - dude has needed a great oline, elite receivers, and very good OCs to look good. He wasn't getting that with us while we had him

Championship Round Playoff Thread

I was thinking the same thing - winner of the rams Seahawks game is going to obliterate the Patriots. Give credit to the Pats defense, but it has faced 2 teams that had no oline and a broncos team playing a backup QB -
Championship Round Playoff Thread

Puka broke up that pick same as he did today on a near pick. I give players credit for making plays. Stafford has a SB win and is a perennial playoff QB while we have 8 losing seasons in a row. I'm no Rams fan but we'd be damn lucky to have gotten him instead of LA. -
Agreed. Y4 is make Or break for him. No way we give a long term contract for $30M much less $50M a year without seeing more.
-
Too expensive to bring in
-
Btw, Morgan says he wants the Qb that's added to be able to move around. Makes me wonder bc vet wise, Malik Willis is the 1st one who pops in my mind. Random...

If the Patriots win, it's going to be a very ugly game. If Patriots give up more than 10, they're going to lose. This one is feeling like Denver v. Seattle from 2014. Seattle jumps up big, pressure lessens and its just a 60 minute ass kicking. 43 to 6, over by Q2.
-
We've had a lot of players and have never won the Super Bowl. Im not sure what your point is
-
It is so depressing. The last three years, with the exception of a few games, have been sheer misery.
-
Yeah, I don't think Darnold would've become what he is without going to SF, but he still could've been solid here.
-
33 million per extension for Bryce Young makes me nauseas.

No he wasn’t but that last stretch with Wilks, you could see that he was close on a lot of stuff. At least I thought so. -
I just don't think NE will be able to move the ball at all against Seattle.
-
Facts... at the moment... he should at max be 15 to 20. Sam had to go through a bunch of 1 year deals to get to that 33 but he's earned it. He put up stats consistently. This is Bryces year to put up or shut up. If the team gets improved around him... and he starts out like the last 3 years, it's time to definitely move on. Hopefully we do bring in another Qb to keep that room honest
-
I'm not going to write off the Patriots because that's exactly what happened a long time ago with Brady's first SB appearance. Not saying Maye is Brady, but if the Pats D turns Darnold into a pumpkin and they very well can, Seahawks will be in real trouble.

I have to agree. Tepper looks pretty bad, but Minnesota and that staff/FO look like fools. As far as taking a year off with Shanahan, I’m not convinced the down alone time helped him. Picture him with hands on Shanahan coaching and that team around him and the reps he would have had, if he played. I think maybe it works out for him that way as well.
-
His time with Kyle Shanahan turned him around.
-
I think the Vikings were just too heavily invested into recently drafting JJ McCarthy. They just convinced themselves to go with the younger QB which would have made the most financial sense, and what appeared to be practical sense considering O'Connel made Cousins and Sam Darnold both look good. The assumption is he could do the same with JJ. Also Sam absolutely shitted his pants in the last 2 games of the year. That probably scared them.
-
Young should get no where near that. Hell, as of this moment he shouldn’t get any contract. The option is even debatable, but makes sense in some ways.
-
Had to check to see what kind of material he had to work with........ yes, there was a guy called DJ something..... but that was about it. Also, he had to run for his life.... a lot!! (and his decision making was a "bit" iffy). Happy for him now though. Glad they took out the team that shouldn't have been there in the first place
