Chatty, Walker & Miller all had excellent games. Freddie looked pretty damn good. If he and Bussi each find their peak performance, they could carry a couple games in the playoffs. Ehlers has been a little quiet lately...

I have no issues with him from a personal standpoint I just tend to think he is mostly mid at absolute best as a head coach and that's if everything is going perfectly around him. If the team falters down the stretch I think it would be in our best interest to explore potential replacements after the season. Even teams like the Knicks recently fired their head coach after a playoff run. Either we are trying to turn the corner as a franchise or we aren't. And if we are we need standards.

That's not totally correct, because 20m of his salary for 2028 becomes fully guaranteed on the 15th of March in 2027. Those cut numbers for year 3 don't include that as part of the dead money, which it would be. After the 15th of next March, his dead cap hit for 2028 will be 37.5m. I mean I guess they could theoretically cut him and have a dead cap hit of 37.5m and save 1m.... But I doubt it.

Charles Lee is a bum and an empty suit (even though coaches don't wear suits anymore). I have no idea who the coach should be, as I don't know the NBA assistant world, but I'm so tired of this team hiring people who within one year of being here showcase that they have no business running an NBA team. I honestly think how well the team has played at times has been more of a testament to the potential of the young talent we have on the roster rather than Charles Lee actually moving the needle in any real capacity from a developmental standpoint. Regardless. The Hornets get two days off and then host the Heat on Tuesday night. If we play dead in that one like we mostly did against the Spurs it's a wrap.

If you check next year there's 50 mill in cap space, * without this years draft class or next. 5+ should allow this year given its top 51. Not seeing the scheme fit for Faulk. Too small for 3-4 DE and doesn't have the juice to stand up. He seems like a strong side 4-3 DE to me and probably not one you'd draft in the 1st.

I'm giving that a better grade than initially now that we signed Walker and Nijman retired. Stone is a Nijman replacement not a Icky replacement, I feel better.

I've been warming up to the idea of CB on day 2 (I haven't researched enough to give a name). We have our starters for 2026, so someone not ready to start day 1 is an option, I expect anyone we draft at 19 to be an immediate starter.
