Mike Davis is like yeah, why would these coaches expect me to watch film on our next opponent if I'm playing good. Yeah, I really don't pay attention to a lot of stuff around me if I'm doing good. also Mike Davis, how dare they give all the reps to CMC. from just listening to that interview, I think Mike Davis likely was often in Mike Davis' way and he can't comprehend that aspect. Even his story of why he hated people.....was weird. He hated Steve Spurrier because Spurrier was like hey Mike, Marcus Lattimore left...and we need you to step up into that role/void and be more for us. And Mike Davis was like, can you believe that motha trucka!! Nah Steve. Just give me the ball and leave me alone (paraphrasing it all obviously but that was the gist).

Scourton - Collapsed Lung, Week-to-Week
tukafan21 replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
Unless he's 1,000%, just sit him an extra week at this point to let him get his legs back under him. I want to see him out there as much as the next guy, but this was a serious thing and I'd rather wait an extra week than put him out one day too early and risk something going wrong, play the long game for once. -
God, these posts are really starting to piss me off If we're relying on Moore, Idzik, and Canales to carry that weight, then we're royally screwing over our young WR room. It's not that those guys can't help with some of it, but these young promising WRs are going to miss out on a lot of learning that can only be provided by the vets on the team. You do realize that coaches spend ZERO time in the locker room, right? They are only in there just before games and at halftime, but the rest of the week, they have their own locker room, they only spend time with the players on the field and in the film room. There is soooooo much time that you're leaving unaccounted for where players are working together to get better. Players are constantly talking about their game and how they can improve while they're in the locker room. If you think career long special teamer David Moore is going to be able to carry that water in the locker room, then you're sorely and woefully mistaken. Even beyond that, if a coach pulls a player aside to give advice between series, that still means there are 4-5 other WRs who aren't getting individual advice, where that's normally a time a vet like Thielen is going over with them what he's seeing out there and how they can do X, Y, or Z to do A, B, or C better on the next drive.

We picked the wrong team, and there's no fixing it. That's why I became a fairweather Chiefs fan. -
Nice call

There's a bizarre fondness the fanbase has for CMC, but I was absolutely thrilled when we got rid of him and still maintain that, at face value, we absolutely fleeced the 49ers on the trade, especially if Bryce Young pans out. They got what we had. Someone who was great in stretches followed by long stretches of injury.

If he’s a knockoff Jahmyr Gibbs, I won’t have any problem with it. I’m also thinking his injury history would be significant in contract negotiations. - Today

Former RB Mike Davis on Rhule and CMC
AceBoogie replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
And of course I had to poo this. It’s an online message board. It ain’t that deep, it’s supposed to be fun. We’re supposed to banter, we’re supposed to have nemeses. And when it comes to petty misguided radicals like yourself I’ll poo you every time and buy you a drink in person. -

Rivera has never had a winning season anywhere without Cam Newton and Cam Newton would have made the playoffs in NE if not for Covid. -
I think they’re called ‘coaches’. Many (not all) were players, themselves. Having both veteran players and coaches that can pass that knowledge on to younger players is the ideal. Thielen did that well from the limited anecdotal evidence we read and the recent Coker interview. If Renfrow can be brought back onto the active 53, he can fill that role, too. If not, we’ll just have to rely on Moore, Idzik and Canales.

Hendon Hooker signed to practice squad
*FreeFua* replied to Super Grateful's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hooker still seems to be the same QB he was in college. Super slow to process. Accuracy issues. It would take a miracle for him to become a dependable backup at this point given his age -
what I took most from that interview in general….is I don’t think I would actually like Mike Davis. at one point the hosts on the show basically called him out that he dislikes everyone Mike Davis actually seems like the bad teammate who seemed genuinely confused about why he would need to do basic work if he had played well

Totally missed Mike Vick somehow becoming a college head coach

Parsons to Green Bay

That will haunt me for a long time -
Once the offense really gets in sync I think they are going to score a lot of points this year. Even in the first half they had opportunities to break the game open and just missed it. The D on the other hand needs some work which surprised me.

Bryce Perkins is 28. On what basis are people 27 years old unable to learn?

Keeping Dalton and then shiping off AT with that WR room is just backwards IMO. As for throwing Young to the wolves, well that was happening anyways. There just aren't any more excuses that can be made there. Then there is building around Evero which was an extreamly stupid approach this year. I know people here try to project a switch to 4-3 but that's just cope to me. He has showed mostly meh with bad outweighing any good. Loved the player but he isn't very good as a GM.
