  1. Past hour
  2. AND the last time we took a TE from Chicago that hadn't quite lived up to draft status it was Greg Olsen... bring this on nah
  3. Guys let's not lose sight of the goal here. Ironically Dave Canales buddy Pete Carroll is a good example. In his later years with the Seahawks they "made the playoffs". Never went anywhere. Pete left town with his best friend Geno Smith and immediately proceeded to faceplant. Meanwhile the Seahawks hired a new coach traded away their best WR and signed Sam Darnold and they are your Super Bowl champions. Just because we backed our way into the playoffs going winless against New Orleans and barely splitting with the imploding Bucs for a 4-6 record in the last 10 games with the 26th passing offense does not mean we should be having a parade. Dave Canales team needs to take control of the division in 2026. Simple and plain.
  4. Luke came into my restaurant in Blowing Rock and asked if we would like a picture when we said hi we are big fans. Came back into the kitchen while we snapped it, thanked us for the pancakes. I love Cam but can you ever imagine Cam doing that lol
  5. Getting swept by the rebuilding Saints with a rookie 2nd round pick behind center is unforgivable.
  6. Slavin has a gold, Jarvy with silver and Aho with bronze. Good showing by the boys in Raleigh.
  7. Bailey is a better pure EDGE rusher. Splitting hairs though, because they are ranked right next to one another; they could easily be flip-floppled. Bailey is another one I thought would fly up the rankings and he has. Remember, it was just a month ago he in range for us to pick. That's the reason I stopped mocking him, along with Styles.
  8. Depending on what the asking price is we should inquire but if this FO is going to succeed we need to hit on one in the draft. This team was built on linebackers. If all we can do is overpay free agents to assemble a decent LB room we might as well clean house.
  9. There is not a universe that Bailey is a better prospect than Reese. And if we are being honest Styles is probably a better football player he just doesnt rush the passer as much
  10. Daniel Jeremiah's top 50 players heading into the Combine. Lol at the people still pining for Styles. Dude will be LONG gone before our slot as I noted he would be. Go ahead a keep drafting him at #19 if y'all want to keep ruining/making unrealistic mock drafts. https://www.nfl.com/news/daniel-jeremiah-s-top-50-2026-nfl-draft-prospect-rankings-2-0
  11. Today
  12. Kmet is better than just 'meh'. Mayer took a back seat to Bowers and is another TE that would relish a chance to start again. Sanders, Temble and Evans is a better group of TEs than we've fielded during the Ian Thomas era, but it's far from stacked. That's the problem, our TE room has sucked for so long now that being 'better than crap' is apparently good enough--which it is not.
  13. Why? Feels like we got a whole TE crew of almost Kmets. Loveland surpassed Kmet easy and relegated Kmet to Tremble like stats. Kmet’s decent years were because of volume. Kmet had over 90 targets twice in his career. Tremble’s career high in targets is 37. Tremble could produce Kmet numbers with the same volume so why would you ever go for Kmet? Loveland or Bowers type studs, go for it. Meh TEs, we’ve got plenty.
  14. XL is cool as hell and so is Jordan Matthews but that was last year.
  15. In theory I agree but tough to pull off in practice. I don’t think we’ll realistically go after or land a Giannis type, but getting another key contributing veteran starter like the Celtics getting Jrue Holiday a few years ago was what I had in mind.
  16. Ran into Jake and he is the coolest.
  17. Steve smith is THE biggest asshole I’ve ever met. Also so my favorite player so take that for what it’s worth.
  18. Is/will he be available? Isn't he still under contract?
  19. Falcons to tag Pitts. Thank goodness, that saves us from doing something dumb. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/48015391/source-falcons-place-franchise-tag-te-kyle-pitts
  20. Yeah. They do the same thing with OL, all OL positions are included and that is why Ravens can’t or won’t tag Linderbaum - 28mil for a C. And they could sign him but I think maybe his mindset for the last year is make them regret not having enough faith in him to pick up his 5th year. I am not sure we should pay a ILB 20 million either. I guess if there is a rookie next to him, you can rationalize it financially.
  21. Have met Luke and Jstew multiple times, both are gueninlely nice guys and down to earth as they come. Smitty I guess it really depends on what side of the bed he woke up on I've seen him were hes cool and other times hes a dick. Williams was a always a dick.... just my 2C.
  22. Big one for the Tarheels tonight, start of three straight at home before Dook season closer. 3-1 maybe gets UNC into the double bye, a loss other than to Dook, pretty much insures they'll be playing on Wednesday in the ACC tourney. Still a lot of movement could happen. There's 5 or 6 teams who could be anywhere between the 3rd seed and 8th seed depending on how things shake out.
  23. Was that photo taken at South Mountains? I used to see him up there on occasion.
  24. They also didn't mind it last year during four nations, or when they beat the fins lol. Sour grapes, they had 3 pf the top four players in the world on the ice when we beat them.
  25. The tag for '26 is 28M. No way they tag him. He is projected to be worth around 60M for 3 years so they could still try to sign him on an extension for about that amount: JagsWire As someone else mentioned, the tag average factors in outside linebackers, aka, edge rushers, in the line backer formula. If they would distinguish between olb and ilb, the ilb would get a lot less.
