  2. lol well that kinda ended up working out in the end, even though I still don't have my jersey yet. Was supposed to ship by tomorrow this time, but just got another email saying it was delayed another 3 weeks and because it's been delayed so long, I had to tell them to keep the order or cancel it, but gave me a 25% off my next order as an apology. Well, my original fear came true and they are now selling the FUSE version (but still not the Blue unfortunately) before the one I ordered was ever shipped. But that's awesome, because I was able to use that coupon to order the FUSE instead and then cancelled the original order. So I got the jersey I wanted for only $6.30 more than the crappier version costs, and it also says it will be shipped immediately and get here early next week, or 2 weeks before the other was now supposed to be shipped out.
  3. I've watched this and think we are well underway. Believe it or not, Bryce is a big part of this. The way he bounced back with such grace. And we've got a lot of young players who want to make their mark, Dave is giving them an opportunity. I loved our draft. I like the number of guys we brought in, and they will help build the culture we want under Dave. We're getting closer, and I think we'll see more wins this year than most of the board. The right culture breeds winning, and winning builds the right culture. Imho, it's coming.
  4. As others have said it's both. One creates the other. But it also takes time sometimes years. And there have been teams lately with new car smell coaching staffs that looked like they were putting it together quickly but things came crashing back down to Earth. Sustainability is the key. For that to happen the meddling of our owners has to stop and they cannot be tempted to return to their ways over any bump in the road either.
  5. It's both. Has to come from top down - but you need those players who are locker room leaders to "buy in" so the culture can self sustain
  6. Facts people need to slow down and let’s see how this plays out. Because we don’t know how they are going to be when the season starts.Luka is not the most athletic but knows how to pick his spots and get his shot off.
  7. Agree on Canales I think he can be a very very good head coach. Still not sold on gm Dan
  8. This thread is very reminiscent of Scoot Henderson vs Brandon Miller.
  9. If they don't pursue and get Ekblad I'd be shocked if it isnt addressed via trade because of the draft capital/space we have.
  10. It's like anything else. The leadership and staff needs to have a clear vision and communicate their expectations. Then the players have to buy in, hold themselves and each other accountable, and follow through.
  11. Yeah get him TF up outta here. He's basically a camp body at this age too
  12. Yup. the best cultures are not a plan, but an atmosphere. Pay attention to Canales. So positive you think he is trying to sell you something. Eventually, it becomes contagious. He still makes the tough calls, but he is positive about it (Benching Bryce after 2 games). Canales and Morgan are controlling the culture by modeling attitudes and bringing in the right players. The trick is, let the players think it is their culture because they will protect it. Assimilation. Modeling. Empowerment.
  13. "To be great is to be misunderstood." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
  14. I mean, we have a relatively young team, and we still have a "new" team as we're building something. I'm pretty sure that someone will emerge between the youngsters and the free agent vets.
  15. You can see how amazing his routes are on some clips the panthers post. It's a match made in heaven. Renfrow will get open and Bryce will deliver it on time. Watch, they are going to be 3rd down killers.
  16. You do realize that was in reference to David Moore? I don't think you're necessarily trying to be overly sarcastic, but I would classify Renfrow as above average under normal circumstances. He'll never be great, but he's the sneaky chain-mover that performs a certain function consistently well.
  17. Synchronicity is the key. And it is a frikkin' hard key to get. The teams that have/develop it, win and win big: Chiefs, Eagles, Lions (can you believe I'm saying that?), Bills, Ravens. Teams that only get one or the other going successfully peak at being competitive but sputter out in a couple of seasons... it just can't hold together. And what happens when you have neither one working? I give you the last half decade of the Carolina Panthers.
  18. You need both. For all the poo game plans and bad game day management you had both under Rivera. From those all or nothing videos it was clear to me he had command of the locker room but gave the players who deserved it the power to lead. The problem now is we don't have any Olsen, cam, Luke, TD's who have earned that right to lead. Maybe Brown but that's it.
  19. It’s been a minute since my divorce from the Panthers game day experience and I used to park my tailgate trailer at W Hill St but parking panda doesn’t exist anymore. anyone know how to find tailgating spots for the season where you can set up a tailgate trailer
  20. I saw this on twitter (2) Deuce on X: "Kon Knueppel after his rookie season in the Charlotte Hornets locker room https://t.co/pVfiEw01Zm" / X
  21. Which is what I hope we have happening. Canales established a new culture in house, we rid ourselves of the Rhule era and the brief hiccup that was Frankie. And now with his own thing in place, he’s created the landscape for guys like Bryce, Hunt, McMillan, Brown, Horn and others to make it an even better thing to be a part of
  22. If roles are clearly defined and boundaries are established, and good culture comes from a healthy mix of both. For example - a great coach can be the catalyst for establishing a baseline culture, but the right player in a leadership role can take that and bring it to an even greater level.
  23. JAG? Renfrow? Renfrow is a stylin, profiln, limousine riding, jet flying, kiss stealing, wheeling and dealing son of a gun. A living and breathing Carolina legend.
  24. He flunked a physical (allegedly), clearly didn't want to be here, and was in the last year of his contract. I'm actually surprised they were still able to get a couple of first rounders for him.
