Against the Saints, Mayfield hit Egbuka in the end zone, but Egbuka dropped it—costing the Bucs six points. They ended up losing by four. Against the Falcons, Mooney fumbled with six Bucs around him, yet somehow he still came up with the football. Later, Cousins fumbled and apparently had a hand on the ball along with a Bucs defender. The refs awarded possession back to Atlanta. Pitts caught a TD with part of his body clearly landing out of bounds. Replays looked like his elbow was either down before or at the same his butt hit, but somehow the Falcons still got the touchdown. Either the Football Gods are smiling down on the Panthers, or the Bucs have seriously pissed them off. Either way, I’ll take it.

I'm so moist seeing the Bucs get humbled. It got to the point where even some folks here might as well have had a Mayfield Buccaneers jersey in their closet. They know who they are. It's been 8 long years in the Carolinas. Please don't squander this opportunity. It should be a welcomed bonus that our possible ascent will begin with defeating the Saints. Get it done.

If they haven’t learned their lesson with those two then they never will. Basically expensive rentals who don’t want to be here and the team suffers for it.

I like to think I'm one of those guys who just is who he is whether people like me or hate me (Stone Cold archetype, if you will). Granted, I also like to think I'm handsome and charming, but hey... -

Because that's the new Canes- sign someone before they get a commitment for a long term deal. Say hello to Jake Guentzel and Rantaanen. -
So if we beat the Saints and beat Tampa at home we win the division I think. Tie breaker would be division opponents and we lost to Saints…They lost to Falcons and Saints.

Did that days ago. But you can bet I'm enjoying two days of being in first place in December! Might be another decade before we enjoy it again.

Whatever gameplan Canales has, he needs to be ready to adjust depending on the flow of the game. Don't want to see our backs getting 4+ yards a carry and Canales wanting to throw 30+ times because that was the design. Go with what's working. Don't overcomplicate it.

Yeah, I’m with you, gotta see four quality games to end this season to convince me that he deserves a fifth year payout. I just can’t see this guy, with his limitations taking the team on a deep playoff run. Hope he can prove me wrong, extremely pessimistic though. Good thing for BY we are in poo division.

Yea, its a awful year for COY there's like 5 coaches Id as a non-panther fan say are more worthy than Dave. Ben Johnson is doing similar to Dave by taking a yearly loser into a winner, but da bears are what 9-10 wins right now. Liam Coen has the fuging jags at 9-4 with similar talent as Panthers, I mean they drafted before them this pass year and had nearly zero from a guy they traded up for @#2 hunter. ugh....Sean Payton&vance has the broncos as the current #1 seed in the AFC..... you know the broncos before the year starts you have the chiefs with mahomes&reid and chargers with herbo&harbs. No one had broncos winning there nor as a the #1 overall seed. Mike Macdonald has the Seahawks at 10-3 compare that to Panthers 7-6, they are in a blood bath against Rams and 49ers.....shanny has half the team on IR with a 9-4 record. Chargers are 9-4 with no OL or RB and not much on D. I have even put colts above Dave and the Panthers, if not for Danny injury...they were on the way and playing great. Just soooooooooooo many HC deserving this year and still more games, but Dave has over played this year for sure. I had them at a firm 2 win team, with 4 being the maybe and 7?!?!?!? being the everything goes right. 7 wins is possible given the shitty NFC south.

He did everything right but catch the ball. Kept his hands out in front, palms away from his body, watched it in, and then dropped the dam ball! Text book up until he dropped it.

Just try to enjoy it for what it is. I don't need to convince myself that Young is good. He isn't. If this team makes the playoffs with the cinder block of Young dragging them down all season, even better. But, some crucial things still need to happen, and being close, and moral victories, and at-least-they-tried isn't good enough.
-
I look at it like this, if we get swept by the 3-10 Saints, then we have no business even talking about playoffs in the first place.

Packers lost to the Browns this year heck, in the disaster finale Rule season, with an interim HC, the week after we cut CMC and starting PJ….we whipped Tom Brady. good teams lose to bad teams all the time, good teams lose to meh/average teams every single weekend in sports, multiple times over. You can not be a good team and have good wins. Really bad teams generally can’t stack multi good wins but average teams can
