How is this an indictment of Bryce personally? Everything from him personally seemed like he handled his part well. What his camp or agent or Bama/SEC homers do is on them. -

Panthering replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Trevin & CSW are not our two worst defenders, that's just incorrect. Brooks & XL picks were terrible I agree, people dragged it at the time too. I agree with the rest, he tried to sign for pass rush but that isn't just available in FA and did what he could with O-line which I think was fine. Morgan trading for Mike Jackson was quite good, and I like his 2025 draft class so far. Robert Hunt getting hurt early in the season pretty much ruined any hope, the team won't be making any reasonable progress with him out and the QB being what he is. -

the rumors of "bryce has tons of trade offers" after getting benched is peak SEC bullshit, and it even came from the beat writer agents leak to. It's the kind of poo stirring designed to make insecure coaches and narcissist owners second guess themselves for fear of missing out on a QB AGAIN. Once the decision is made a ton of knives are going to come out about Bryce from the Panthers end; that's just Tepper's way. I promise the darling of Alabama and future Dancing with the Stars contestant isn't going to just take it. -

Move the Panthers to Raleigh replied to ATLpanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've worked 3 different jobs in 3 different industries in Charlotte, and they were all toxic. A friend of mine experienced the same thing and he still works in the city. Tepper fits the Charlotte mold. From sports to business to politics, Charlotte is just poorly ran. I'm amazed there's any success in anything going on there. -
Not really. I certainly wouldn't call it comical. There 8 teams spending more so it's not like they are way off the scale. Secondly, and more importantly, the majority of the spending is on the OL which I don't mind as much. It is a little high but I would rather have it there then being locked up in a bad QB.

Honestly, I don't want to see Dalton either (though I know it has to happen), but I'm Bryced out. As a Panthers fan, I've seen enough of him for a lifetime. I say get Double H up to speed, see what he has in a Panthers uniform (if anything), and ultimately plan to draft 9's replacement in April.

Pretty wild to have a game in early October that feels like the primary thing being played for is draft position, but here we and the Dolphins are. LOL

Yeah, I just don't see a lot of supporting evidence for that. I give Bryce a lot of credit for how he handled his benching and how he responded to it. -
Achane is going to eat! Great for my dynasty team, bad for my favorite pro team.

5. Extending moton - why just why would you do that?

I can agree with that but I don't think it was the college part that was the mistake - it's the lack of NFL experience that was the mistake. It's the same mistake he has made with Canales. Both had limited experience in the NFL. Canales had a little more but he only had 1 season as an OC and that was in a system with a strong support system as well and a developed QB. It's hard to know how much of the offenses' success was because of Canales, and how much of it was because of the sytem he worked in. Especially given how successful that team continues to play without him.

BY regresses every offseason. It's got to be stressful just knowing you don't have the tools to do your job and their isn't anything you can do to change that fact. Then he shows up and they have to spend the first part of the season trying to match the offense to what he can do while other teams are building on improving. Now him sitting while the team improves without him and then him showing up to play Bryce ball is when he is at his best...because everyone else had a break from his effect to improve so it then looks better out of context. -
Jamarcus Russell had as many wins as bryce does in 7 less starts. let that sink in. JAMARCUS RUSSELL winning percentage DWARFS young....

I honestly think there's a very good chance that Canales can see it. I just don't know if it's his call. I don't know that he has the ability to bench Bryce without Tepper's blessing. It happened last year so there's hope, I just hope it happens again soon. We need to see Dalton starting ASAP while there's still time on the clock before the trade deadline. We have options right now. We won't have options left in a few weeks. Even if you end up blowing it all up and doing a full reset after this season, you gotta show those candidates that you gave the current crew every chance to be successful because I think the common belief out there in NFL circles right now is that you're fighting a massive uphill battle working for David Tepper.

Last years draft class is a complete bust. Trevin and CSW are two or our worst defenders and that’s saying a lot. Brooks will probably never be the same. XL could get cut tomo and it would make zero difference Sanders is meh at best You simply can’t afford to miss on entire class when you’re already lacking talent across the entire roster His idea for fixing the OL was to back up the brinks trucks to two guards. Our OL is an absolute mess right now. He paid Moton. We have zero pass rush. Zero. This is year 2. He’s had 2 drafts and 2 free agencies to do something. This team doesn’t look like it’s made any progress from last season and that’s the real nail in the coffin for me -
Man, we're past that now. We missed the boat. We crapped out. Only people like "sunshiny" Dave Canales can't see it, don't want to see it, or just don't want to admit it in public for whatever reasons. Maybe the Teppers are suffering from escalation commitment or the sunk-cost fallacy and have their employees mouths on lock. Whatever and whoever is to blame, I hope that the Bryce experience culminates in him being benched and traded sooner rather than later. Evero can go fly a kite too.
-
Maybe he had a turtle head and was afraid if he kicked to hard he'd pinch one off.
-
Yep that is exactly how that went. No deep threat. This whole thing with Bryce, we are supposed to know first hand what happens when they don’t respect the deep ball. It is so damned ignorant to intentionally put yourself in a situation like we had with Cam, with a player who has none of Cam’s physical advantages to boot. So it’s gonna be even tougher and you are supposed to smart enough to know that.
-
That was the only team that Andy had their number. He's almost always beaten the Raiders so I'm sure that had something to do with the win as well.

I agree that BY has regressed. I think he can't handle the pressure and/or defenses have figured something out regarding his play. I also think BY is showing that he doesn't trust himself. I mean, why would he? -
Yeah, I honestly think we're in about that same situation right now. Put a ROY level QB talent on this roster and we could probably win about 6 games. Similar to Cam's rookie year. I don't think anyone is arguing that we're a good team.
