  1. Past hour
  2. You have a point but he’s been performing better as the seasons progress, and has had a lot against him as far as surrounding talent and growing into the league. You want to see overall performance pointing up, and he definitely is after last season. Left tackles don’t grow on trees, and he’s one of the better ones in the league and just now only 24 years old. Some rookies from this draft are the same age him and he’s going into year 4.
  3. And before any of you scrubs suggest that we shouldn’t re sign him…..you are wrong. Don’t forget we have had a revolving door since Gross. Icky is 24 and this will be the first year he has had the same head coach for a second year.
  4. Would love to have him at the right price, but at some point we have to start paying guys for what they are and not what we hope they will become or drafted them to be.
  5. The Panthers have picked up the fifth-year option on left tackle Ikem Ekwonu’s contract. He is expected to get a long-term deal, something the Panthers did for defensive lineman Derrick Brown and cornerback Jaycee Horn in the same situation. The only question is: When? “I have no timeline, honestly,” Ekwonu said Thursday, via Kassidy Hill of the team website. “I’ll let my agent and Dan and everybody kind of figure that out for themselves. “But I mean, obviously, all parties know, all parties involved know I want to be here in Carolina long term. Hopefully, we can get that done. I’m definitely grateful and excited for this option.” The Panthers used the sixth overall pick in 2022 on Ekwonu, who has started 49 of a possible 51 games in his career after missing two games with an ankle injury in 2024. Ekwonu does not turn 25 until the end of October. Ekwonu was born in Charlotte and went to North Carolina State, so he is home and wants to keep it that way. “I want to be here,” Ekwonu said. “I want to be part of the glory days in Carolina, and I feel like we’re right there on the precipice of it.” https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/lt-ikem-ekwonu-wants-to-remain-in-carolina-long-term-but-has-no-timeline-for-an-extension
  6. That man obviously has no real friends. Ain't no way in the hell I'd let one of my boys make something like that public knowledge.
  7. I hope that guy gets a fortune off this. Get rid of pond scum girl and get some cheddar. All good
  8. And we're so much better off for it. T-Mac just turned 22 and we'll pay him about $28 million over the 4 years of the contract. DK will turn 28 late in the season, is costing the Steelers $132 million the next 4 years, plus a 2nd rounder to get him. Higgins will turn 27 in the playoffs, is costing the Bengals $115 million the next 4 years, and the Bengals probably weren't trading him for less than a 1st rounder.
  9. Most of the cases I have heard of involve one woman suing another woman for messing around with her husband. I think in this case, the guy is going after Steve because he knows Steve is wealthy. Otherwise, they would probably just divorce and be done with it.
  10. I think if you are willing to cheat on your own spouse, you don't really care if the other person is married or not.
  11. All the local pundits who cover the Panthers are shocked and disappointed that we didn't draft Walker. My friends, you were successfully smoke screened.
  12. Something tells me this is Freddie’s last big push. If we get so lucky and win the cup I bet he calls it.
  13. Today
  14. Skated today, practicing tomorrow.
  15. During the UDFA phase an under the radar signing was Abe Camara. I've heard we are trying him @ safety ... I need this guy to make the 53. Sneaky good signing.
  16. Yeah, they just happen to be teams with all-time great RBs and all-time great running QBs. The majority of the rest of the league is throwing at a 60%+ clip.
  17. Looking at stats for the last 3 years, A&M doesn't get many sacks from its edge rushers.
  18. Fletcher Cox got hit with it a few years back for having an affair with a woman from NC.
  19. https://x.com/NFL/status/1918037059433910471?t=Y0lJ6jSdlPrlsvSSXjQKxw&s=19 Nice to see one of our players getting some prominence
  20. I wouldn't read too much one way or another yet into the league favoring running over passing or vice versa. Right now offensive coaches are favoring balance and defensive coaching staff's are obviously having success. But it's ever evolving and I expect passing numbers to go back up again. And even though some people might dismiss it at the end of the day the league knows what moves the needle with viewership. I can agree they will alter rules if need be to maintain that.
  21. I'm pretty sure the spirit of this law is to go after the other party, not the spouse. Plus she will be getting a lot more than 100k from Smitty if she divorces him. Suing her would be bonus money and a nice revenge factor.
