  1. Past hour
  2. He struggles to read the room, no wonder he struggles to read a defense. He needs to go.
  3. Losing yesterday eliminated us from the playoffs. The Panthers will not beat Seattle and will be lucky to beat the Bucs at home. Its already over, its just waiting on the final nails in the coffin.
  4. I second this get an above average qb on this team as well as they have done in spite of mostly horrific qb play and this is a scary team in the playoffs. Draft an edge, draft a qb, sign best available fa or trade for mac jones like a 5th, draft best available remainder and this team could be something next year.
  5. It's the expectations of a backup. Everyone wants to blame the D or the coaches or anyone other than the QB that threw for 168 yards and a TD at a barely over 60% clip like he's a backup. When you're playing your backup, you're expecting to have a very low margin of error and needing the coaches and rest of the team to carry him. But when that's the expectations from a third year former #1 overall pick, that's just flat out admitting the guy ain't it.
  6. There needs to be a signal the QB does before he slides, that's about the only solution. Its beyond unfair to a 4.4 275 edge man-beast sprinting 10 yards away to FULL-stop while at full speed at a last second slide cause the QB is protecting himself. SImilar to the punt returner and the fair catch, that's at least allows those 4.3 LBs to not murder the punt returner. The QB... BEFORE he starts to slide...... needs to take his off hand and point at the ground or some other signal. Do Roger, do it!!
  7. Yes, They even had a 50 yard kickoff return called back because of illegal formation. The defense stands out because of the total numbers but it was everyone and always at the absolute worse time
  8. Shough doesn't have better talent around him today than Bryce had his rookie season.
  9. Its the coaches call. I'm telling you what you see is Canales "style" of offense he wants to run and its garbage. He violates to golden rule of any coach in taking what the defense gives you. Sometimes he gets lucky and the opposing defense just happens to align with his offensive plan and he looks like a genius. He's a fraud.
  10. I mean, the rules are the rules. Slides are legal. You blow up a sliding QB and it's called every single time in the scenario Shough was in. Should QBs be allowed to slide? Do I like that rule? No. Because I think sliding actually puts QBs in greater risk of serious injury and puts defenders in a horrible spot. But as far as what happened Sunday? There was no other way for the refs to call it different than they did.
  11. Not just the defense the team in general, very disappointed on how undisciplined this team was off a bye
  12. lol...can't disagree with that rather elegant discription.
  13. Im firing the BFF Brad Idzik. Bring in a true OC that's a X and O master, bonus it allows Dave to focus on HC while the new OC calls plays and bring a different mindset/ideas.
  14. We had 8 and the Saints had 8. But yeah, the defense couldn't stop them after the first quarter even with having them at 3rd and long multiple times ( they punted twice in the first quarter and never had to punt again).
  15. We are .500 right now and hot and cold which is a sign of a young team. We are in the playoff race because our division is pretty bad. If these teams get better (Bucs healthy and the Saints aren't as far off as people think) it gets a lot tougher. Even if we get in the playoffs we are a ways away from being competitive there yet IMO. Of course a lot can change in one offseason and we are trending in the right direction.
  16. If you can see your LTs blocking infront of you then it's not a blind side...that's when he should have stepped up. That's just running back too far out of protection and that's on Bryce. Going to be interesting to see if they credit Bryce or Ickey with the sack. Im guessing Bryce. If you feel the compulsive need to make excuses and then blame others blindly then maybe don't point fingers? I crap on Bryce but when he earns it. This was on him IMO
  17. I am down with that but his price tag is going to possibly be problematic for KC. Minshew is on a league minimum deal and they are projected to be $44 mil over the cap at the beginning of next offseason. A $4.2 mil backup might actually be a little pricey in their situation.
  18. Okay and we are this close now without any of that. I mean, we might not be deep, but as long as we get the starters.
  19. I'm fuming about this play still. QBs should not be rewarded for these decisions. And I can't believe people think it is reasonable to expect a defender, in an important moment of the game, to react in less than a second to what a QB, who has established himself as a running QB in this league, may do. https://x.com/fsh733/status/2000362698471768161?s=20 He went for the tackle at the same time Shough began to slide. We're not talking about a guy scrambling out of the pocket. HE WAS THE DESIGNATED RUNNER! And it wasn't even a big hit. Just one of the most BS ways to decide a game that I have ever seen.
  20. If we are planning on moving on, especially as a trade, it is literally only going to be this offseason. With that 5th year picked up, he will have zero interest or next to zero interest in the 2026 or 2027 trade market.
  21. I don't know if you are or were 90s wrestling fan or Scott Hall fan, if so enjoy the laugh- Mike Tyson was also 300 LBs and had a super bad coke problem...
  22. Yeah, it's crazy the level of wanton ignorance there seems to be about all this. As you said, I'd be amped up to have gotten a backup QB this solid in Day 3 of the draft. But #1 overall???? This just isn't something we are going to be able to bet the future on. And especially when the instances of him showing any shred of elite play are so incredibly fleeting. It's like banking the entire future of the franchise on a couple of laser passes by PJ Walker.
  23. Time to start that QB contract clock over, and continue building this team up; in particular, the defense. If you could get rid of Bryce this offseason, I’d do it
