  1. Past hour
  2. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve even looked at Reddit. I’ll pass.
  3. I feel like it is only a matter of time for Tepper to find a winning recipe. He wants to win, he just doesn't know how. He is going to roll those dice until he figures it out, and he has a lot of money to burn on rolling dice. I know it is the time of the year for hopium, but I feel differently about this regime than I have about any other in recent memory.
  4. I mean, feel free to poke Reddit trolls, I just don't want to be responsible for opening that door.
  5. 100% all of this Basically the only thing this offensive roster doesn't have right now is an already established #1 WR, and that's only because our #1 WR is a rookie. It's time for Bryce to live up to his draft (and trade) status. Unless T-Mac completely busts (which I clearly don't see happening) and XL regresses at the same time, there are just zero excuses for Bryce to not produce at a high level this year unless he just isn't able to do so, and then it's time for the conversation.
  6. Today
  7. Did you read my post? I was talking about what the Cowboys would be willing to trade for a fully guaranteed contract may have been less than what we got. It’s nice to say “just draft better”. I wish the Panthers drafted 7 hall of famers ever year. But since that isn’t the reality, and the reality is the Panthers have had trouble hitting on 2nd rounders their entire history, I’d still like the team have whatever flexibility possible if they bust, and hopefully we also draft better and never have to worry about it.
  8. Maybe the offense doesn't have any excuses, but the defense has to give the team a chance. We can't be playing from 3 touchdowns behind and expect the offense to still thrive every game. We have to get some stops on 3rd down. We have to be able to create more time of possession for the offense more opportunities through turnovers. There's more pressure on Evero than there is on Bryce I think this year. Even if only slightly.
  9. Saw it today. Pretty fun ride.
  10. Yesterday
  11. For a moment I thought you were talking about Michael Jordan the football player and I got so irrationally angry thinking about him starting until I got to Clyde Drexler.
  12. Grizzlies clearly have money on the Kings beating us.
  13. As an edge, if we get 2 good years (8-12 sacks) out of him, this contract is a bargain. I think he will be a better pro than college player--Princely is the wildcard. if he steps in and up, watch out.
  14. Ward was cheap in the grand scheme of things. Bryce Young? Not so much. Just food for thought when contemplating Cam Ward.
  15. Anybody that can make an NFL roster for 15 years let alone start for many of them deserves props in my opinion. Seems like a good dude and good teammate. I think he adds value to being on the roster but I dont think there are many situations where I want to see him playing on Sundays in a Panther uniform.
  16. My hope is that nearly all the top QBs return for another year. With NIL, the need for a quick money grab is waning. Only a couple of the top guys will not be eligible for returning in '26. We need to see what Bryce looks like with no excuses and short of a full face plant he'll get to year 4 with the Panthers. Year 5? That will be a different story and one if he's not a lock as the future of the franchise for the next 10 years, we can hopefully find his replacement in the the '27 draft.
  17. Only time will tell if he was worth the pick. The Titans had to pick a qb. Cam Ward was the best one available. There really isn't much to discuss beyond that.
  18. I would have put him in the 4-6 range in the '24 QB draft class. Ward was being discussed among the rest of the QB class before deciding to stay in college and if I remember correctly, that's about where he stacked up on average (4-6). I mean, a 5th round draft pick being the most discussed QB should be all you need to know about the strength of this year's QB draft class. It's not Kenny Pickett's draft class weak, but not that far behind.
  19. Let's give Dalton his props for being a average starter for the Bengals for years in a pass happy league. He was never great but never terrible. He is washed now for sure.
  20. Chris Simms says Ward would have been the #3 QB (just behind Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels) if you had combined 2024 & 2025 together. Not saying his mouth is a prayer book, but another GM said he'd have been QB5 had he been in the 2024 class. He may not be "#1 overall quality," but it's still very much in the air if he was worth that draft pick. Very much in the air...
  21. Had there been a better QB, he wouldn't have been #1. Where do you think he stacked up verses the six first round QBs in 2024? He's okay, but not #1 overall quality. The Titans should be happy, with fanfare and media scrutiny usually comes lofty expectations. Ward flying under the radar shouldn't be an issue for them.
  22. Hadn't really thought about it because he's been so out of the spotlight so far, but yeah...
  23. As a veteran of the Huddle, I really miss fat Alice and some of the other trolls. We had some good times. We used to have some heavy hitters here on the huddle before it got so watered down to protect the fee-fees.
  24. We can't ever reach an end to this conversation because you keep reverting back to a perceived view that I am "blaming" him. For what exactly? Losing? That's not true. I am where CRA is on this. Correctly acknowledging Thielen's clear limitations and our clear past emphasis on trying to build a passing offense around him that resulted in the literal worst ranked passing offense is the result of decisions made by the front office. Any "blame" lies there. I do not blame Adam Thielen for taking the money and milking it for all it's worth. Twice. Again. That's on our front office. All I can do is hope that Canales is planning on throwing everything he can at the young receivers. It is critical we do not waste the opportunity for their development in what will in all likelihood be another losing season barring a miracle. Ultimately I get the sense your hardline position and unwillingness to let this go to the point you are repeatedly talking about lack of IQ and calling people dumb (very familiar behavior in this day and age) is being fueled by past conversations in other subforums. As such this only continues to get uglier. So there's no need to go any further.
  25. It's a message board. Discussion is what it's meant for. How does this require explaining? I'm not "running to his defense" as much as I'm pointing out that your take is dumb and you should feel bad for it. Like I said before, you're the equivalent of a failing business blaming your top sales rep who while not putting up stellar numbers is still your top guy and is meeting expectations all the while seemingly giving everyone else in the organization a pass to focus on one of the few things that isn't abjectly broken. Adam Thielen is the least of the Panthers' issues. That's the whole point. You're missing the forest for the small bush. You're blaming an aging WR with a mid-level contract for not being a good #1 when he was brought here to be a veteran presence and solid #3. That's not an Adam Thielen problem. You're blaming the wrong entity.
  26. Yet you keep coming back here running to his defense. He has a wife already doesn't he?????
