  2. 1. Have to draft Ickey's replacement in the 1st or 2nd round, high chance he will never be the same and he wasn't dominant to begin with. 2. Yes - pay him before he gets more expensive. Right now, he can be had reasonably cheap given that he still needs to prove he can stay healthy and have a full season of WR2 production. 3. I think you keep him on the roster and see if he is willing to work and improve. If he doesn't you simply don't pick up his 5th year option after this year. 4. See #1 5. Draft best available in either 1st or 2nd round. 6. I think RB room is set, hopefully Brooks shows promise and takes over half the carries. maybe draft another one in the late rounds 4-5 for depth.
  3. How about 60 mins of hockey vs 2. Get that win boys.

  5. I agree the officiating tends to be bad but for what's it worth, I felt like the Panthers-Rams game was one of the most solidly officiated games I can remember in a long time.
  6. They are obviously waiting on for someone o the Seahawks or Patriots staff. If they wanted Evero, it would be a done deal already. The only silver lining is if the guy they are waiting for turns them down. In that instance I do think Evero is their backup plan.
  7. Evero to the Raiders makes zero sense unless the OC he's pitching them is a failed HC who doesn't have interest in trying for it again. They're a team about to draft a QB #1 overall, developing him is job #1 for the new coach/staff. Hiring a DC with a young up and coming OC wouldn't make any sense, because then you risk losing that OC to a HC job after maybe just a year or two and that young QB has to change system, play caller, etc. It's why hiring an offensive minded coach makes the only sense. The Raiders have to make the right hire/pick with this HC hire and #1 pick combo because of that division they're in, it's a gauntlet and you can't screw up this opportunity.
  8. 1. Sadly, it's just too early to tell with Icky. And the draft will have come and gone before we have anything, FA, too probably. Njiman was good, but there's dollars to be invested there as well. This is really our biggest puzzle to figure out. And Moton on the other flank is getting long in the tooth, too. 2. Coker: Pay the man WR2 money. 3. Most WRs take three years before you really know what you've got. We'll know for sure by the end of this one and he's still on a relatively inexpensive rookie contract. Now if someone comes calling for a good, good trade... 4. This is the make or break for good teams vs bad teams. And depth development is essential. We've had a bit of that but there isn't a spot on our line that doesn't have worries except for maybe on guard. 5. I think you draft the best ILB, the smartest one in the first round and don't look back. People lost their poo here on this board when we "wasted" a pick on Luke Kuechly. 6. Yeah, I think Chuba is a workhorse. But we need to be more decisive in his use. Still not sure Rico doesn't come back next season, too. He'll get to see the marketplace first, though, and we'll offer similar numbers to him.
  9. I've grown to enjoy Mike & Tripp, even more so after listening to the ESPN, TNT, TBS hacks who, for whatever reason, seemingly don't know dick about the Canes.
  10. Today
  11. NFL teams are reportedly projected to gain at least $22 million in cap space ahead of the 2026 season. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Friday that the NFL has informed clubs that the 2026 salary cap is projected to be in the range from $301.2 million to $305.7 million. Teams operated last season under a $279.2 million salary cap. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25378860-nfl-reportedly-sets-2026-salary-cap-range-updated-projections-all-teams-ahead-free-agency
  12. Seeing the diversity of answers makes me realize that they are questions worth asking. Some of yall answer like you are at the card table. Lol. I have no idea what they should do or will do, as several of the moves arent made in a vacuum. Should be a fun off-season.
  13. FanDuel RSNs on the verge of liquidation. I wonder if this why the Canes had those random WRAL broadcasts earlier this season? Testing the infrastructure for when the axe inevitably falls...? I assume it will revert to ESPN+ for those of us not in the broadcast area.
  14. If the cost gets too high for us, I hope he goes to WSH. I don't see them as a threat with or without the Bread Man.
  15. I wouldn’t mind a trade for Panarin at 3, 4 yr max at the $10M AAV Range. Washington caps are pushing hard for him, I don’t know their cap space but wouldn’t be surprised to see them overpay. I hope the Canes don’t do the same.
  16. People really need to understand what an ERFA is. Coker will get a contract in line with other recent better ERFA wide receivers
  17. Reportedly turned down something similar in Tampa already. Im not familiar with this source though https://heavy.com/sports/nfl/buffalo-bills/former-bills-sean-mcdermott-nfl-job/
  18. There doesn't seem to be anything about Luke to suggest he wants to coach in the NFL.
  19. Anyone know what round the guys we have met with are projecting to be taken?
  20. I wouldn't say very likely but I think OT is on the table at #19. You don't do anything with Icky right now. You just let him rehab, then likely start the season on PUP and go from there.
  21. I am in favor of re-signing Cade Mays but it seems like he will test free agency. Re-signing Nijman is the top priority.
  22. Sucks for Icky but given the seriousness of the injury it’s very likely the first round pick will be a tackle. If the Panthers re-sign Icky for anything other than a reasonably priced prove-it contract after his option year is up, it’ll be a horrendous decision.
  23. Way too many of y'allare panicking about Icky. He holds no cards right now. His agent knows it. He's under contract next year with the 5th year option and is in no place to demand a huge deal rehabbing from an injury with a very spotty recovery history for NFL players. Any deal that would be inked right now would be far off his healthy market value. What's he gonna a do? Hold out and forego $17M after suffering a potential career altering or even ending injury? There's no pressing need right now to do anything long-term with either Icky or Coker. Chill. The Panthers hold all the cards currently with both these situations.
  24. Here is what I think. 1. Not sure about the contract with Ickey, but I would let him walk if he wants big money, sign him to a back load contract to play here in the future--as a guard. I am guessing that knee would be better at G than LT. Draft a LT and re-sign Nijman and BC if possible. 2. I love Coker, but the injury history is not a deterrant. I think we need a #2--Coker is an ideal #3 imo. He can play #2 for 2026, but whatever you do, you sign him NOW. He should not demand elite money--3 TDs for 395 yards is not negotiation gold. Lock him up now on a contract that is aligned with that level of production. 3. XL--this is an unpopular opinion, but we knew XL was developmental when we drafted him. Maybe play him at the #3. Financlally, you keep him on the roster and you hope to unlock his potential in year 3. I am upset with him, but he has talent. Can he put it together? Unlikely, but we cant improve every position that we need to upgrade. 4. the OL is interesting. First, our guards are contractually locked in until 2027; moving either is not worth the cost. Extend them if anything. I do not see Ickey coming back as an OT--but maybe a G. We must draft a LT and C or RT. Re-sign Nijman and BC. We must also bring in or draft a starting Center. I am concerned that they re-sign Corbett late in free agency, when his price drops. I think we will draft one. (In other words, sign your depth--BC, Nijman, and maybe even Corbett and Cuhran. Draft a center and OT. 5. Sign a FA (Chenal) and add ILB depth later in draft. Re-sign Rozeboom (reasonable contract--2-3m) 6. This is why I do not believe in giving RBs second contracts--they rarely play up to them. Nonetheless, Chuba is a leader, we have Entienne, and Brooks is going to give it another try. Dowdle is gone. What is not mentioned is the need for an edge--imo, we have to big edges that can hold the edge (Jones II, Scourton) Princely and a free agent pass rushing specialist (Reddick?) should make edge better.
