The Panthers will be the Panthers no matter how many names change. Just gotta laugh and roll with it. -

we should care about his limited production and focus more on what he does and doesn't vs what the collective team is able to pull off. -
The real question is how much do Wilson own Dax Milne and the oline for his one standout college season - making Wilson a multi-millionaire. The fact he went nr 2 is laughable. Neither is NFL talent.

He's 5-3 this year. NFL is the epitome of "what have you done for me lately" business. Bryce isn't good but nobody should care about his rookie season record, just like they don't about Darnold's -
Because we have Bryce this year and id rather have Bryce next year as opposed to a a ron

Maybe you go well Alex Smith lost 28 out of his first 44 and still salvaged a journeymans career out of it. Is that the bar of success we want? Alex Smith? -

The only way Bryce should get an extension is if they make the playoffs and play decent in the playoff game, which means he needs to go 5-3 the rest of the way to win the division, or 6-2 to get a wild card. There is no reason whatsoever to give him an extension otherwise, its not like he is going to hold out if he doesn't get one -
I think we split with the saints, split with the Bucs and lose to the falcons on the road. I think we win one of the nfc west games but I’m not sure which one. I’ll go Seattle just for the heck of it. leaves us at 8-9 on the outside looking in, but a respectable season put forward by Dan and Dave in year two of a rebuild. This season will be a “what if” for a while especially given the two winnable games that were dropped in the first two weeks.

I view QBs differently given the last five years. There's even that older obscure fact that if a QB has been with a team over five years and no SB, it will never happen. Now it feels like the league gives QBs three years and if no success, find another QB. Teams are in panic mode now too often and QBs......these poor QBs....Sure the money is great, but its unfair what's being asked of them. Deal is unless you have Allen, Mahomey, Herbo, Jackson, or Burrow you need to spend resources on finding a QB. Stafford(current MVP?) and others in this group, age and other factors means they are not long term like the first five listed. Wait those three years and you may be able to late pick swap for a QB drafted #2 overall.

Bryce is a good kid. Everything I see about him makes me like him. OFF THE FIELD But he is not going to take us to the promised land. Dude has an 11 and 25 record. For every game he wins he loses 2 -
Same defense in front of the journeyman AHL guy who is top 10 in the NHL in almost every category.

Again, just to be clear, we are essentially doing the Skip Bayless The Golden Calf of Bristol Argument at this stage for Bryce Young and thinking of paying w/ that logic. THAT is we are lol. Yeah, pretty much sucks. Doesn't really do anything. Often gets us in holes. But yeah, like one drive a game....he looks ok. The whole "clutch" narrative somehow is supposed to erase all the bad and he is a nice dude. -
The NFL is usually good at not making this particular mistake but it also needs to be said that you shouldn't draft guys with no NFL measurables completely relying on them making it up with intangibles.

You're more than welcome and Scott all of us have experienced your long posting. Id say most have been showered with positivity. If not I'll still read your reply, either way. My line of thinking we are in-season and by some miracles the Panthers are in the playoff hunt. While its the biggest decision in panther history, maybe it does need time during the off-season dull period. Im also not one to tell people what to talk about or when to to do so or what positive/negative etc.(boy the board is awful BY heavy.....). I do not like to tell my fellow Panthers fans how to fan.(I normally only jump in when its classless stuff or the common division BS ) Like I said, its the biggest choice and the effect will change the direction of this team for years to come.... Be unreal to hear Brandt/Dans TRUE thoughts on this topic...

Nice. With Chuba running the wildcat we might have been able to at least compete. We might be able to actually win with Rico running the wildcat.
-
Rico is not out. Hes full practice and Canales said he would start.
-
If T-Mac and Rico are both out we might as well just have Chuba run the wildcat.

His teammates seem to love him. That’s a great thing. -
I mean, do we even really need WRs at this point? Let’s do some 4 TE sets. Great for run blocking and checkdowns.
