I think Panthers go 3-way approach. A) Keep Bryce and see if anymore development. B) Bring in Geno as back-up/insurance. C) Draft a guy in 4-7 and see what he turns into.

GB was always on the schedule for 2026. It was the 2025 one that was the surprise. For those curious (and subject to change): 2027 season we'll play the Eagles, Commanders, Jags, Titans, and an NFC North team at home Away games at Houston, Indy, NYGiants, NFC West, and AFC East 2028 Home: Arizona, SF, Denver, Vegas, NFC North, AFC North Away: LA Chargers, LA Rams, Seahawks, NFC East In other words, get your airplane points ready for 2028 travel to the west coast. And with that extra home game on the schedule, chances are that'll be the next home game in Germany (should happen every 4 years if original Europe plan is still in effect) Based on current opposing team stats, both 2027 and 2028 look rough

These are really good. I have t gotten a single one yet. Haven’t done any searching or anything. I am gonna guess Walter Young in case his pic comes up.

I did a for instance quick look at the Green Bay game, stats and PFF. 102 yards passing, he graded 42 decimal point something I just glanced at it. Probably not overrating him, it was one of the lowest scores for the team. So I wasn’t being real accurate relative to that particular game with the over grading comment. But I don’t know, I still think there are probably other examples like what you cited where he did get some generous grades.

I’m trying to see the light at the end of the playcalling tunnel, but don’t know if it will be there. If Canales passes off playcalling duties, I don’t see how he doesn’t give it to Idzik. I truthfully don’t know what Idzik does nor if he’s up for the job. I don’t see a world where Canales passes him over unless he’s instructed to, and I don’t get that feeling after making the playoffs in year two. I also don’t want Canales calling plays anymore. I can’t tell if BY is holding him back or if his playbook is that predictable, vanilla and determined to create a new style of offense that is dominated by screens and checkdowns. My gut says you plug 20 of 32 other starting NFL QBs not named Bryce in and this offense moves more. It’s wild because the times that Young does uncork it a bit, he has had more success….sans his signature out route lobs that have the zip of a paper airplane.

If it wasn’t for the Canales connection, I’d put Geno here as a backup at zero percent. Dude is 36, banged up, had a horrible year and has been a poor teammate. Dalton has to go but I don’t want Geno here.

My cousin is convinced the Panthers could get Maye for two first rounders (2026 & 2027) and Bryce. Obviously this is hypothetical and it's highly unlikely NE would agree.

it is insanely that the day after we make the playoffs, this is what you post. anyway I think Dave should give up calling the plays but the team is clearly getting better and we played the 10 toughest schedule and still made the playoffs. Only 2 other teams with a tougher schedule also made the playoffs.

They gave him just a below average score for a game where he set the league record for lowest yard per attempts... He had a higher stupid pff score than we had net yards... They definitely over grade him. And despite that he has a 70 which makes him 24/42... Lol
