Is Mike Jack already the 2nd best trade in Panthers history?

People forget the Dennis Daley Trade. -
If we start winning, he will 100% make the probowl
-
Damn right. Best corner we’ve ever had. Jacy is on track to surpass him

I still say the fact that we literally got anything for Robby Anderson literally 24 hours after he got kicked out of a game for arguing with a position coach was a good trade. Same thing for Diontae Johnson. -

To be clear I do not think Bryce Young is necessarily inaccurate in the sense that he can't hit the broad side of a barn the issue is his arm talent is so lacking and he needs perfect circumstances to make certain throws and those circumstances are very rare. The best and even some of the not so great QB's can deliver absolute dimes under pressure and off balance. That is physical talent. Bryce cannot do that and that is an advantage to any defense worth their salt unfortunately. He does not have any semblance of physical talent to separate him from other higher end starters. That was an unnecessary risk we took in trying to build our entire franchise around a guy like that. But we can't keep doubling and tripling down over it. -

Jared Feinberg's Falcons v Panthers film breakdown

For the first time ALL season, it looked like we blitzed. Honestly, I dont think Atlanta was prepared for it since we literally didnt do it ALL season long. -
I could be wrong, but I don't think Ransom on the field means Scott off the field. I think we were playing some Big Dime with Ransom as the 3rd safety.
-
I don’t know if it’s just the Falcons or the fact that we played players who may be actually better. We played the rookies 3&11 more because Pat was out. We played Ransom more and we played Bobby Brown more who looked better in training camp then Wharton. It seems like 11 was getting constant pressure the run D was stout with BB Ransom and Derrick Brown shaping back into a dominate interior D Lineman. So we’ll see this week if it continues with these players getting more reps then before.

Weve done quite a few trades in our history. Even the Olsen trade was a player for a pick. When you look at our trades across the board, we've been on the losing end far more than we've been successful or broke even. -
That is going to be a problem. They will be going up against some tough QB's down the line. And our offense will have to sustain drives and not keep them on the field all day. As much progress as we think we've made the real test remains to be seen.

Dear god do not let us Chinn the situation with Ransom. Kid looks so promising (Albeit a super small sample size), develop him and let him grow here.

Who are the top QB prospects for the 2015 draft?
Jon Snow replied to Panthero's topic in 2015 NFL Draft
Mendoza and Mateer are the front runners at qb so far. -
The only slight negative is Ransom and Moehrig have a lot of overlapping skill set. I wish we could get Richardson in a little bit too.
-
Rozeboom has probably been the worst player on our team so far by a pretty wide margin.
-
The Panthers need to go on a run because they have a number of winnable games coming up.
-
With our weak LBs, the safeties have to tackle and this is Ransom's strength. Hopefully one of our young LBs can beat out Rozeboom because he shouldn't be a starter.

I don't get the Moore hate either. He's reliable and is a solid special teams contributor. We have lots of young talent on offense and sometimes you need a vet to make a vet play. -

Its more than just a qb issue if that's what you are implying. Its been more than 3 years of this also. Its been a decade of this incompetence. -
I'm expecting once Ransom shows he has a solid grasp on running the backend with Moehrig that he'll take over for Scott. The safeties have to chirp with each other quite a bit since they're often rotating based on whatever the play call dictates (ie: aligning with the strong side or man).

Jared Feinberg's Falcons v Panthers film breakdown

idk how the three Mooney drops and two missed field goals can be chalked up to Penix being horrible, but he definitely fell apart later in the game when down two scores and having to be one dimensional on offense. There was a couple of passes too that were affected by the rush to force them off topic. Once Penix was uncomfortable, he unraveled further. Then again, if folks are looking for a reason to not hope yet by finding reasons to dismiss the performance, carry on I suppose? -
If we could just play the falcons more often, it would really help.

Time will tell but it does look encouraging

What surprised me was that they didn't seem to really commit to the run early and then couldn't once they got behind. I did notice the tackling seemed to be much better than we've seen, however.
