XL makes a list of sophomore breakout candidates
Barney replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Anyone that watched XL in college knows he had good hands and would regularly go up and come down with 50/50 balls. He got thrown in as a rookie and struggled along with dealing with a wrist injury. I am hopeful the injury was part of the problem and he can use his size, strength and speed to become a solid part of our rotation. -
They are the highest they can be right now. I usually buy them a few weeks before or even gameday morning
-
room for growth? sure. but you were just a weeeeeeee bit exaggerating. but if you were serious about all that? "Okay bud"
-
He was weighed at the combine at 219 officially. If you are getting that 4.6 number from his pro day he was also measured in the 4.4s by different scouts. Regardless he is the same build and speed currently as Tee and Drake if you want to run with the 4.6.
-
Horn doesn't generally travel so the Jags could get him on Dyami Brown.... Horn should be on Thomas Jr 100% of the snaps IMO. That's what he is paid to do.
-
I'd wait. Nosebleeds won't be 200 later. and after glancing at tickets online just to see.....man, the fees all these ticket companies add on are criminal. Whatever the ticket would cost gets ballooned like crazy. I miss the old days where you just bought them off a dude outside the stadium.
-
Well two things, first is that it wasn't just about seeing a good matchup, it was getting the college matchup re-match between the two of them and current Top 10 picks. And second, I doubt we see all too much of Jaycee vs Hunter either, I'd think we'd be more likely to have Jaycee on BTJ more often than the rookie in his first game.

Tee is LISTED as the same height and weight. McMillan is not 220. It’s obvious. Just like Bryce wasn’t 204. You don’t need to be jacked but if you run a 4.6 you don’t want to be 205 pounds at 6’4
-
You think he has an NFL body? That he has no room to improve as a rookie? Okay bud
-
Tee is the same height and weight. He just has a huge catch radius like TMac. Drake London is 6’4” 216 as well. You can work on beating the press while not getting jacked. Most WRs are huge like XL.
-
Randy Moss ran a 4.3, Tee Higgins is a legit 220. He’s worked to get bigger/stronger since coming into the league. Tee Higgins makes tmac look skinny. The knock on McMillan is his play strength and getting pressed by physical corners, and he’s in this video shirtless literally looking like he doesn’t lift, ever. You don’t want your “big body” receiver that runs a 4.6 to be in the weight room and develop his play strength? Play strength he is documented on film as lacking?

That show is amazing -
yeah, we drafted a WR in round 1. All signs points he is going to have a development window. Just like XL (another first round WR). Neither of which are natural pairings with Bryce Young and how he plays the game. Drafting Tmac isn't going to drastically alter things this season most likely. in his final 8 games.....he was also meh/okay in 5 of the 8. Which is great given what he was, which wasn't shouldn't even be on a NFL field caliber. But the Panther passing attack as a whole or even cherry picked to only post benching......was a subpar NFL pass attack (which ranked dead last on the season). Too many IMO focus on the improvement vs where it actually stacks up vs the rest of the league. again, the defense SHOULD improve. Almost a certainty. It was historically horrific. So even a good improvement there leaves in the bottom 3rd of the league.

20-0 Superbowl is waiting for us in San fran
-
Devils advocate: He averaged 200yards/game and 60% completition. 5 of those 17 game against a poo falcon team that wasnt playing for anything
-
I mean you could certainly make that case put its depending on us catching some breaks, teams in our division dropping off unexpectedly (atl, tampa) and most importantly being basically injury free to thread that needle. And if there is anything a panther fan knows, for what ever reason, we havent had a relatively injury free season in what feels like forever. But I may be crazy, but I agree our schedule is set up very nice to get some really good momentum going into 2nd half of the season

When my dumbass saw this on my phone earlier, I thought Jordan Brand was some agent I didn't know about. In my defense, I was on the verge of heat stroke cutting trees. It hits different when Michael Jordan says you got game. - Today

Bryce Young had 17 total TD and 4 picks his last 8 games. People don't realize how solid he was. We drafted a WR in round 1. Signed league average to above average players for front 7. Added Moehrig. I think you are a tad too low on what Dan has done. I'll go 9-8.
-
I mean, I don't wanna do this to either of us, but you know Debbie Downer is 20 years old now? I feel like that reference is older than some posters. I was surprised myself.

He doesn't have to get bigger, but he has to be more physical before the pass.
-
I feel like this is a really easy schedule. Lots of teams without an established QB or that wasn’t good last season.
-
10 wins if we get Alabama Bryce (the Carolina Reaper) at the beginning of the season.

Finally had time to watch the full video, and while I didn’t put the video I slow mo every time he had his shirt off to deeply analyze his lean muscle mass like some of you, I did have one big takeaway: if he can memorize that many handshakes, he should have no problem with the playbook. Let’s go!
