I know people who work in there and they say Tepper is never in the building. Tepper is just terrible at hiring and that adds up.
-
Well once again we didn't bring in any competition for him. So I doubt he's feeling any pressure to preform. Probably binged on some netflix in the offseason.
-
Most of XL's biggest blunders have been on very easy plays.

I forgot about Allar... which pretty much tells you what I think about him. -

Who are the top QB prospects for the 2015 draft?

Carson Beck has looked okay to start, we will see if he can sustain it. I like Sellers but he is going to have to show progression as a passer. Still better that Anthony Richardson atleast. Nussmeier is so inconsistent its hard to tell. He is good at the line of scrimmage but takes some weird risks. Klubnik is so inconsistent it's wild. Sometimes he looks like a scrub and then he will look all world. Scares me a bit. Right now I'd lean towards Sellers cause he has ridiculous upside. Beck or Nuss, after that, probably Nussmeier cause Beck is a total statue in the pocket. -

^^^^ BINGO!!! Now you are beginning to see through the hype. We didn't get here in one offseason and it will not be fixed in one. This will take finding the right FO and coach combination and many years of good drafts by them to dig out of the nfl cellar. This team is FUBAR. -
In a different way. His hands were on hiring someone to prop up his Young mistake and 2 suckers who thought they could stepped up while now damaging their professional careers. Read this morning thst there was friction between Young and DC after the game and I laughed. What offense or more could they add to make that dud look better? They should have known own better but here they are and boy they look set up to take another beating with much less excuses available.

Eh, I don’t think so. I think Morgan is running this show, with Canales closely behind him. Problem is, they are both terrible. Morgan should’ve been let go when Fitt was tossed. I am all for Morgan getting the boot at the end of the season, but if you do that, you might as well go ahead and can Canales too. Start getting these scouts replaced as well. -

No PFF grades up yet but the all-22 is up. Just watched the first passing play (Q1 6:45) from 3rd & 2 on the CAR 37 where Bryce scrambled for the first. Dowdle whiffed going low on the blitzing Oluokun, which forced Bryce to scramble. If not for that, that ball was going to XL on a corner route that he'd have been open. Concerning though that Bryce looked like he was staring the route down (which he definitely did on the first INT of the day). This doesn't absolve Bryce as he made several flat out bad plays throughout the game. Also rather damning is that of the 40 drop backs, according to the filters there was pressure on 16 vs. 24 w/o pressure... though I'm questioning the validity of the early filters because the very first play I mentioned is flagged as "no pressure" when there's very clearly pressure. The first INT was a bad play by Bryce. He thought Murray had started dropping deep to cover Brycen Tremayne, but Murray read Bryce's eyes the whole time which stayed on XL. Murray "broke the rule" here and made a play, but he also wouldn't have made that play had Bryce not been staring XL down for most of the route. Might not get an all-22 review post up until later in the week. I've got a conference next week that I'm prepping for and the family is still reeling from one of our pets passing over the weekend. -

We're just bad. Canales is not a good coach. Morgan is not a good GM. Young is not a good quarterback. We haven't drafted well in a long time. All this stuff adds up. And now we're in a situation where no matter who we hire they're going to be starting at a negative because they're going to have to draft good talent and fill the entire team up. I don't know guys I think we could be bad for a long time. -

So true. I would love to have Jim, Dan, or Sean here. So sick of stinking it up for the first 8 games and then fixing things just to make sure we dont have a top draft pick so we have to trade the farm if we want a top pick. -

I disagree. If that were the case one of the reporters would have already talked about it like they did before. They talked about it continuously for about a year. I think he has legitimately handed it off but he isn’t going to sit back forever if this group doesn’t figure it out. -
It's just a new stat they tried out. Not sure that one has any value so it could disappear quietly much like the test that Young took.

The more I watch this train wreck year over year, game by game, it’s clear as day Tepper is still the one making decisions behind the scenes. Football operations had never been this woeful under Richardson. Tepper is still pulling the strings and this bad football stinks of it.

I 100% agree. I haven't prepped for an interview in years. I say what is on my mind and they see the body of work. You either like it or you don't. Two times in my 20+ year career I have finished second in an interview process to a "very polished" interview candidate. I have been lucky enough to run across both the hiring managers in my travels(and after career ascending) afterwards and ask how those hires went. I always end up laughing at them and saying, "Well know you know the value of an interview, don't you?" The trade up to get XL and the "fifth year option" will forever be seared into my mind as a singularly stupid Panthers FO blunder. You are so giddy about how great this pick is that you have to get that 5th year so you can save money on this future HOF WR, huh? Meanwhile, XL is making more squirrel skinning videos on TikTok in the locker room.

We just got prison raped by a 4 win team while looking completely incompetent on both sides of the ball. I agree he is not on the hotseat yet but he def took a pretty big step towards that line. And lets be honest, we all know how this is going to end so would anyone really be mad if Tepper shitcanned Morgan, DC and Bryce at the end of the year? -
Maybe we should bring in the gm of an undefeated college team as our next coach.

My second manager instilled something in me that to this day I remember. "stand on your work". Look at what they have done and not what they tell you they have done. Your body of work is more important then your interview or demeanor. It just is. And this clown show doesnt seem to get that. I mean XL had 4 years of absolutely dogshit performance but hey man he is funny and from the country -
Derrick Brown is the Leader of this Team
kungfoodude replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wharton was the only appreciable pass rush element and he got injured early and often. TBH, once he was out for good, I am not sure we had a DL pressure the rest of the game. -
I'll tell you who isn't a leader of this team.. Dave canales
