This iteration of the NFC pales in comparison to 10 years ago is what I am saying. If the Giants have a competent QB the pieces are in place for them to make a playoff run.
-
If a QB has an INT and five fumbles, he deserves to be criticized. People can criticize passe rating and QBR all they like. All I know is that looking at the all-time lists, you'll see that some pretty good QBs lead both. In that same vein, I absolutely want my QB to be able to pass the ball efficiently. If he can run, that's great too, but a QB's primary job is to pass.

I heard they weren’t going to let him leave without pretty much giving him whatever he wants.
-
NFC dominated the AFC head to head this season.
-
Giants are the best option for him all things considered. He could be a problem for the NFC which has weakened significantly over recent years.

I like the approach Morgan takes in free agency where we fill holes with at least serviceable players and use the draft for BPA. So, I expect us to bring in a Safety, 1 really good LB and 1 kinda so so vet LB in case they lose faith in Wallace, an edge rusher, and with ickey's injury I think we will be the team that overpays for a LT like Rasheed Walker with the plan to move him to RT depending on Ickey's health and how long Moton wants to play.

Mike Kaye’s take: 2026 NFL free agency predictions
csx replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Look at Rashid Saheed contract for 2024. He was more productive than Coker but probably a good reference. I think it was 1 year 5.2 million.- 59 replies

I expect the same strategy as we did last year. 3 year deals for guys around 25 to 28 years old and have the cap number be lower in 2026 and back load the contracts for 2027 and 2028 when our cap space is 100 million in 2027 and 360 million in 2028. With the years of terrible drafting this team had under Rhule and Fitterer and the lack of picks from all the panic QB trades has made it where we have few long-term contract commitments on the roster. I'm sure there's probably some restructures and cuts we can make to give ourselves some more room this year if we need it but overall, our cap situation is in a good spot under Dan and Brandt. I think we'll be pretty big spenders again this year. With us making the playoffs and being in a weak division I see Morgan being pretty aggressive this offseason.

Who do you despise more… LaMelo Ball or Bryce Young
MechaZain replied to TheBigKat's topic in Charlotte Hornets
Is the LaMelo hate just because's he's injury prone or what? I'm always hearing immaturity but he's not some menace off the court and he's never waivered in his commitment to the franchise when asked. Feels like Cam Newton all over again and folks just hating on his personality when we aren't winning. -

I think they can do it with salary minimum too. I wouldn’t but I think that’s all that’s required salary wise- 59 replies

Looks like it’s the Giants. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/47616292/sources-john-harbaugh-giants-expected-barring-setbacks

Not trying to get in the middle of y’all’s thing here but you can cheer for your team and still know that your starting QB is dog water. Really not that weird.

So he's concerned about how it looks to future hires but he's going to fire everyone if the player he picked is no good? Doesn't make sense to me. Would take a king's ransom to get anyone to come here. Obviously Bryce is a big part of it but say he stinks it up next year. The runway for Morgan and Canales is longer because they've had more success in less time than Young has.
-
Some? Who does that in FA? Lucky to get one blue chip.

When has Tepper had a press conference the last year? I was wondering if we would make it a year with nothing.

Mike Tomlin stepping down as HC of the Steelers
strato replied to methodtoll's topic in Carolina Panthers
I searched for that. No results. Lots of speculation that he would do that but no confirmation. I did find an article from 3, 4 years ago where he was asked about it and said he would not go over to the “dark side”. His words. I am not saying that it means anything today, just passing that on. -
It was only an attempt at a joke. But you are right, it would be a different conversation. I probably would have had no objections to drafting him.

Do you go OT in the first?
-
Lawrence has better numbers than Bryce. Stroud is a no brainer. Hurts is the closest to Bryce as a passer but he adds rushing TDs and yards. Nix has also been a better passer and added 400 rushing and 4-5 tds on the ground.

Are we going to have the funds to bring in some blue chip players? Someone who can really change the flow of the game?
-
Coming into work at 1: 30 in the morning and a Duke game on the radio just finishing is crazy work..
-
Ravens owner having a press conference after 7 years is crazy. I probably wouldn't mind if Tepper disappeared for 7 years, or Jerry Jones for that matter. They really should be quiet behind the scenes.
-
It makes some sense. I think in many ways the Giants job might have been the best, maybe 2nd best since Steelers opened. They might have some pieces in place, and it is a premier franchise in the league. It's not perfect by any means, but they aren't considered a loser franchise like the many of the other teams with openings.

This Bryce Guy (General BY Discussion)
PantherSurviving replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Bryce was 6’2, and had stronger arm, we would not be having this conversation. -
