I hadn't realized that ban hadn't kicked in yet. Nice it's a small risk for what I think will be a steal of a contract by year #3 And this if anything INCREASES his value as a trade piece....
-
Eeeh I wouldnt go that far.... He's our #1 RHD though.... And I sure wouldn't trade his defense (which we missed sorely when he was out) for Karlsons offense.
-
Lamelo is a superstar and the face of the franchise. No way am I trading him

Something I noticed when researching Mello Dotson
L-TownCat replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
Didn’t we hire a PFF guy or something? I think I remember folks pointing that out when PFF said we had the best draft. -
Are you 12?
-
Let's catch a pass in a meaningful game first. At least one.
-
This is the picture I tried to attach on the initial post of my panthers wall.

If you weren't aware, we picked up another waived CB from the waiver wire, basically swapping M.J. Devonshire for Mello Dotson. Yeah it's not overly exciting stuff, but I'm just chilling. Anyway, I noticed Dotson on a PFF draft list that ranked the best remaining after day two was complete. He wasn't the only one though. https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2025-nfl-draft-top-5-remaining-players-at-every-position-after-day-2 3. Mello Dotson, Kansas Dotson is a steady, experienced cornerback with an adequate build for the position. His lack of true stickiness in coverage may limit him to more of a rotational or spot-starting role, but he has a place in the league, especially for teams that play more press and man coverage. 3. Mitchell Evans, Notre Dame Evans doesn't have the rare movement skills to set him apart as a potential top-60 pick in the NFL, but his floor is balanced and high as a TE3 with the potential to move into a contributing TE2 role due to reliable blocking and hands through contact. 5. Cam'Ron Jackson, Florida Jackson's massive 6-foot-6 and 328-pound frame is designed to clog the A-gaps and free up linebackers to make tackles. He's earned at least a 76.0 run-defense grade across the past three seasons. Teams in search of a late-round run stopper should be interested in Jackson, even if he is likely to be just an early-down player. 1. Lathan Ransom, Ohio State Toughness and tenacity are Ransom's calling cards, which he makes good use of in all facets of the game. While he may lack the tools some other prospects have, he has the instincts and awareness to make up for it. I just found it interesting, is all. Some want to downplay PFF, and in many ways, it should be taken with a grain of salt. But I've always said that it's a tool, and obviously it's very much in the minds of the Panthers now that Eric Eager is part of the the franchise, and the importance of PFF's analyses extends beyond the first and second rounds. It goes deep, all the way through---thorough!

I agree, I remember freaking out the first preseason game against the Jets in Bryce's rookie year when our Offensive Line looked like swiss cheese. It was a bad omen
-
One of the few bright sides of having a sh*t roster...if a player goes down, it doesn't really hurt that bad. lol
-
It isn't unheard of nowadays but it still stinks for the fans. And at the end of the day the franchise has been abysmal so it isn't like they are trying to hide something special from prying eyes lol.
-
Rozeboom and Wallace.
-
I'm thinking about walking on. Been bulking up the last couple years for this moment. Got some good midsection girth going on. I'm good for one tackle.
-
I believe August 14th in Houston is going to be the only practice of the whole camp that will be public, at that point preseason will have already started lol. Still feels like a weird move to close it off to the public when they are desperate to energize the fan base.
-
At this point maybe some traffic cones eventually.
-
Hunter Biden had bags but he left them in the West Wing I'm hearing.
-
I'm certainly hoping and expecting the young receivers to give us a significant boost but best in the league is a tall order. Did the Tepper's slide Ocho Cinco a bag to get him talking like this?
-
Rozeboom and Wallace in the middle and Scourton and wonnum on the edges.

The good news is, the best way to make linebackers look good is by having a good D-line. While we haven’t seen them on the field yet, the consensus is the group is vastly improved from last year. If the Linebackers can be average, they’ll look even better behind the revamped line they’re “backing”.

It's early and sure is nice to have Hope. Has been long time to get here and sure hope we don't have another Bubble Bursting Season!!We done 7 seasons in a row now is the time. George Allen said 'The Future is Now and I hope we prove that this year!!Last is picture of 1 wall in Panthers Room. archive.zip

From a depth perspective I think it’s possible. Both T Mac and XL being top 15-20 WRs next year would be huge. Thielan on his best day is a fringe top 10 WR. Coker is a wild card but could easily be an 800yd WR or even our #1. First time I’m not really worried about our WRs in a while.
-
Eh, preseason games definitely do count to some degree. Really need to look like a competent team at times in preseason games. I'll agree about the camp practices though, and JJ spelled it out nicely.
-
Gonna have to hope for some young guys to surprise in a good way and/or (probably and) shop the waiver wire hard as cuts start happening. On paper this has to be the worst LB unit in the league, maybe by a wide margin.
-
Probably some guys not on the roster yet.
