  2. Saban is a horrible human being? What is your proof of this assertion?
  3. He's probably gone either way because his contract is up. His defense has produced very good results this year given the talent level. But I think we might benefit from a DC that runs a scheme that optimizes Horn's impact.
  4. The team did not activate either guard Robert Hunt or wide receiver David Moore from injured reserve, so they've been downgraded to out on this week's injury report. They can still be activated next week if the Panthers advance to the playoffs
  5. CHARLOTTE — The Panthers added depth at cornerback and linebacker heading into the regular season finale. The team activated cornerback David Long Jr. and linebacker Jacoby Windmon from the practice squad by standard elevation before taking off for Tampa on Friday. Those moves are a reflection of Robert Rochell (concussion) and Claudin Cherelus (calf/ankle) being ruled out on the final injury report on Thursday. https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-add-a-pair-from-the-practice-squad-for-bucs-game-david-long-jacoby-windmon-robert-hunt-david-moore
  6. And on this whole “Bama Bryce” thing. He lived off out of structure, when things break down, vs. lesser athletes in College. That has proven to not work in the NFL and was the concern for a lot of us from the get go, in addition to lack of arm strength and size.
  7. Yeah for sure (and please do). We have enough to get things started but could use all the help we can get.
  8. Agree, I think he’s probably great at the whiteboard and talking about it, but it is not translating to actual play on the field.
  9. Lol. He is in the "outside chance" category. I generally think his HC opportunities have dried up pretty well. Honestly, based on what people have said about him, he might be one of these guys better suited to being a HC than running a defense.
  10. Hopefully he will give them some amazing new film to view over this next month and change.
  11. Are we able to bring our own booze by chance? NODA is fine but Tampa(and surrounding) is one of the best craft brewing cities on the East Coast.

  13. Kiffin's best QB to date has been Matt Barkley. Likely Dart will be a flop too, TBH(my prediction). Kiffin's offense is basically an Air Raid variant, which doesn't usually translate well to the NFL. Additionally, a lot of the line adjustments tend to be done by the sideline and relayed to the QB. So, you are generally going to get QB's that are stunted in certain areas. Kiffin's track record for producing NFL QB's is very bad.
  14. Today
  15. What has made you think that? if anything he’s asked to do less and less each season. The playbook is getting smaller
  16. Does that mean window closes and they can't play in the playoffs? I'm assuming yes and think that's the right thing for Hunt but just want clarification
  17. I think Bryce is probably a very smart QB and understands the game well. But we’ve only had a few games where it felt like he took over. For the #1 pick it looks like he needs a lot of support to get going and for that reason I’m not sure he’ll ever meet that investment. If he could be top 10 at this point it would be a W. I also can’t gauge if his problems are purely physical or confidence driven due to perceived limitations. Against Tampa in the bank it looked Bama Bryce is coming on, then last week the passing game is abysmal.
  18. That misconception has been debunked many times by several sources. Tampa came in with an offer that Carolina didn't try to match or exceed. At that point Guentzel had 1 choice if he wanted to play hockey- Tampa.
  19. That test sure did drop off the face of the earth immediately after that season lol.
  20. I mean, this year we should've easily been a playoff team in my opinion. We should have easily had two or three more wins--at least one--had not Bryce crapped the bed. But let's be serious about human nature and what we know about our FO. I wouldn't bet the farm that Bryce will be anything but the defacto starter in 2026, because (inconsistent though it was) we have exceeded expectations this year, and some in the FO probably believe, rightly or wrongly, that Bryce is at the center of that. You know, piece of bread seems like a meal if all you've had is a cracker. That being said, Bryce has shown plenty of inconsistency if not a downright pattern of flaws. He's a third year QB, and some, if not most, of his metrics aren't pretty. It could be argued that he should be further along (for me it's not really arguable). So, hopefully the decision makers will acquire a couple of plan Bs. I would hate it and love it if we identified "our guy" in the draft, and that it was somehow achievable to acquire him with a couple of high draft picks or even less. But we already pulled the trigger on Bryce with arguably awful results, so that's got to make the decision makers a little skittish to repeat a mistake that should be still fresh on everyone's mind. That being said, I think that it's more likely that we acquire a player like Mac Jones, Malik Willis or Trey Lance in free agency, and also target a day two or day three developmental pick in the draft with some real upside. That pick for would be Drew Allar who should slide to day three (I'm thinking). I think that this is more realistic than them releasing Bryce from his starter's role from the get-go, or someone just flat out playing themselves definitely into the starter's role by the time the season begins. Now, again, if we can find "our guy" that changes the narrative and is expected to be the starter from day one, I'd be excited, if not downright ecstatic, but I don't think that's a realistic expectation. Getting back to the team in general, If we don't make some improvements, including QB, I wouldn't bet that we'd necessarily be a playoff team next year, because, the rest of the NFCS is likely to improve next year. I don't expect that teams in our division will be necessarily able to "backdoor" themselves into the playoffs next season. So we're going to have to hit on at least a couple of picks, get healthy along the line, and fundamentally change the way we're calling plays because lightning probably isn't striking twice. I'm hoping that we'll have a real breakthrough season by 2028, because this season and next season aren't likely to be it because removing ball-and-chains ain't easy unless you got the key, and It's still gonna take some time to find it.
