I can see XL contributing this year in some fashion TDs big plays here and there, Brooks later in the year, and Sanders probably from day one. Running up the seams/hashes or quick routes while still being right in his line of sight should help Bryce the most out of these three this season like Jimmy Graham to Drew Brees. But if Wallace has an impact this season I'd be ecstatic I mean that'd be a very strong contributing class I'd go crazy over that being that most wanted a center or a good DB when we went LB if he can contribute we'd be in track for this rebuild.

I don’t remember Mills from the USFL days just when he was in NO. But when you saw Smitty it screamed oh yeah, this guy has something. Immediately. So, have not seen anything that dramatic with Young. All I know about him says he is solid with his character and smarts and don’t see a lot of that translating into screaming he really has something. I think the people that say he could possibly acceptably run an offense designed around him, with top flight talent in support, are probably about right. But I can’t see any Pro Bowls or lofty accomplishments in my crystal ball.

Their forecheck is relentless because they are so physical and heavy. It’s just a perfect mashup for how they play. Florida before Paul Marice played just like us. Speed but with finesse. Paul made them but into playing heavy. They went and got players that added to that style he wants and it works. Plus they have the best goalie in the league. That helps more than anything. I think you example/argument applied entering last season. Both were doubted because of their size, BUT when both were given opportunity to play...they just people up and maximized it. Bryce Young did not do what they did when given the opportunity to. I think the window you are referring to has come and gone. The pre-NFL arrival size talk. That's not the convo given we are talking about actual play and what they showed. So none of that matters anymore. 89/Mills got the opportunity and started proving folks wrong from year 1. More opportunity, the more people continued to look stupid (as in 89). That's not Bryce. Bryce is the opposite, the size questions aren't being proven wrong but reinforced with him to date.

He can be successful in the right environment but that’s not what you want with this type of investment. Its going to be a hugely important year for him.

Bryce Young is Eli Manning-ish IMO. I mean, it's not that you can't be successful with a QB wired like that. But Bryce Young doesn't check so many of the textbook boxes you look for. Eli didn't check that box either. Problem is Bryce just doesn't check so many of them. They add up at this level.

Darnold put it together here when Wilks took over. The Saints game was awful but somehow it was awful for both teams. Neither wanted to win. Had Ickey not completely forgot how to play football in the 4th quarter against the Bucs, Darnold takes the Panthers to the playoffs. I would trade Bryce for Darnold right now. Darnold with Canales and a heavy play action, ground and pound style offense would be good.

Their best scoring opportunities didn't occur until the last 10 minutes of the game. No 2 ways about it, the Rags were dominated last night. Florida won the 50/50 puck battles and board battles. The game wasn't that competitive until late in the 3rd. And it was on Rags home ice.
