This is simply false. I've been critical of Canales multiple times the last two years and certainly over the last few months going back to preseason this year and last year. He let the starters off too easy two preseason in a row and we started the season poorly. I have no idea if he will end up being our coach for the future. It is not looking good for him and he has repeatedly had his team coming out looking complete flat multiple times so far as head coach. If he goes he goes. However. That does not mean I am expecting him or any other coach to magically make Bryce Young a franchise QB because they are not miracle workers. Bryce's physical attributes are what they are and they are severely lacking. It is what it is. Now if you're doing just making things up trying to portray me as a hater or this or that I'm going to wish you good luck watching the upcoming game and thank you for your discussion.

Eric Collins Calling First NFL Game (ours)
Butterflyj30 replied to Daddy_Uncle's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is great news I can't wait to hear how he does -
How the fug is that solution? You think adding another QB fixes anything? That’s the type of thinking that got us here.
-
Bro ripped off my take and made a thread lol.
-
Honestly that’s awesome and will get me to tune in for a little bit even though I planned on skipping this one. Collins is the man

He may be a magician, but he ain't God.

The first 10 minutes or so was all I watched. Looks like they woke up. Good for them.

I ain't doing anything except eating the leftover honey mustard chicken wrap from Cook Out. Later on, it's likely Cook Out (again) or Subway. If we go healthy, it will be Subway. Cook Out makes hot dogs (add chili and onions) to die fir, and their Cajun Sandwich, Cajun fries and tea are delicious as well. Their trays are the best value in fast food. Man, I shared their pumpkin spice milkshake with my wife last night, and it was good.

Tepper likes hiring Ivy League grads for his hedge fund now family office. Pretty sure Stefanski is an Ivy League guy so this might happen.
-
My hope is that we get a top 2 pick this year and are able to trade back for multiple 1st’s. That said, I’m not very confident in this regime’s ability to not only make those picks, but in this coaching staff’s ability to put these picks in position to be successful.

Im not falling for it anymore. I thought it was a horrible decision but then bought in to the hype. Then I allowed myself to buy in again late last season. No more.

He has the swag, I'll give him that. If his game actually becomes equal to his swag, then maybe.

Panthers podcast shuts down due to team’s poor performance

Could be a name for a strip joint, or maybe that's just my creative mind running overtime. -
Looking back Fitterer (with Tepper telling him what to pick) was the worst GM I can remember. And they hired his assistant. Nuff said

We've got the Dolphins today so in the tradition of feasting on the foes, we're going with Tuna Salad sandwiches here. And Bugles. Because, well, Bugles are the best snack food/ crisps ever invented, hands down.

looking at it from opposite side could any coach win with young at qb in the nfl?
-
yes people comparing young baker and darnold must not watch the games. baker and darnold had the physical talent just not the mental decision making aspect of the game. young is just physically limited no mater how much of the game mentally he learns he just cant physically do it

Part of it is that Canales can create a good series of plays at his desk or around a work table and then get them onto the practice field and then the playing field. That's good. But then, the script runs out and there he is on the frikkin' sidelines trying to manage an entire team while keeping an eye on the game, personnel, the refs, field position, the clock and who is and isn't available for the next play AND THEN HE HAS TO DECIDE WHAT PLAY TO CALL NEXT. I'm sorry, he just isn't far enough into his career to be able to handle all of that. Let an OC up in the skybox with the all-22 field view, communicating with his assistants, make the call based on what he sees. And Canales should be out there managing the whole team, creating to tone and let his folks do the work he hired them to do.

(Potential) Top 2026 HC Candidates
Carolina Cajun replied to CarolinaLivin's topic in Carolina Panthers
still dont be surprised...I could see them doing like a 3rd/4th and bryce for mac jones. SF will move him for picks if he gains value with play this year. I mean, Shanahan is a QB developer, in fact guys from under him and McVay tend to thrive after having some time under him. Other options I could see them kicking tires on would be Trey Lance and Carson Wentz. Honestly, if Wentz were 2-3 years younger, I think he'd 100% be the target, might still be honestly. Stefanski runs a QB friendly offense and works well with his QB, and for as much grief as Wentz gets, his last full season starting he put up what would be the panthers 8th most passing yards in a season, 4th most touchdowns, and only 7 INTs would be the lowest amt of INTs by a panthers QB who started more than 6 games in a season. Thats CRAZY to me. I mean, its a huge sign of just how bad the panthers are and have been, but he would absolutely be an improvement over what we have, but honestly end of the day if we bring in Stefanski, go with who he wants. - Today

Bryce is not the answer at QB but that doesn’t change the fact that you put any other QB on this team it will still suck, maybe a few more down field passes completed to tickle your fancy but inept nonetheless because of the nonexistent culture and identity in this club along with mostly terrible roster decisions . Instead of admitting that you make excuses for Canales too for having Bryce as QB. If Canales offense requires perfect execution at all times just to be competitive maybe it’s not a great offense after all.
-
Exactly, a kid from Albemarle basically washing jocks at BoA, to one of the "elite" GMs in the league, luck and timing was the factor.
-
I like Beane don’t get me wrong but he 100% lucked into Allen. That is an absolute outlier of a pick that worked. Aside from that the Buffalo roster isn’t done complete elite roster. Allen kind of carries it IMO. Buffalo is being helped by having Allen and McD for stability most of all.
