I swear Morgan didn't have 1st(#1 overall) or a 2nd rounder in this rebuild.......Then his first 2nd rounder that he gave up two 5ths for is now out for basically 2 years..... Football is not forgiving....
-
This. They better not even think about bringing him back if they are short on TE's.

MHS, You are missing Claudin Cherelus is a LB that's in the mix for the 4th spot. He's been here for 2 years and had a couple injuries. I mean he was a wavier claim and been here for evero system, just had bad luck when given a chance. Jon Rhat is the current leader mainly cause of he is the ST ace. But Id say, Cherelus has the same % to make the roster. CB has the recent wavier claim of MJ Devonshire a 2024 7th rounder. He's got the good-great combine numbers but he's small size. Still he's in the mix for backup duties, in fact all the non-UDFA are wavier claims. ______________________________________________________________ Dam shame about Clowney. I view this as a bad move. I feel clowny is well worth the 7.7, even as a backup. He played hard the whole year without help. I just feel he would have helped more than either DJ Johnson or Barno. My only cope is he's 32 and at any point his miro-knee could force him to drop off a cliff performance-wise. I wanted to keep him around at least until the trade deadline and if no chance at playoff, flip him for a anything. NFL is a meat grinder, no love for locals....

Might as well. We need to get these rookies on the field and see if they can play ASAP.

This hate this part of football and then you have to get down to the 53 Man Roster

Panthers start making cuts to roster

The 2nd round picks of this team are nothing but a death sentence for your career! Seems like after Foster we have like a 10% success rate with 2nd rounders. -
I don't like to talk bad about Panthers players, present or former. So I'm going to just wish him well in his next endeavor.
-
I'm okay with this. I hope the young guy can heal up and take the field again at full strength. In the meantime, some other folks are going to get their shot. It's all good.

He’s going to have played no meaningful football for 2 straight years. Good times. -
sounds like panthers twitter. everyone is all 99's until someone pisses them off.
-
Now there’s a shot at Dj Johnson or Barno making the roster
-
Well more time for our rookies. Let’s see what they have.

lol that's two responses like this, but like I've now said a couple times, I wasn't asking that, I was asking why does putting him on the PUP list "officially end his season" when so many players coming off injuries start camp on the PUP list and are able to come off later. So not asking why we'd shut him down for the season, I get that, asking the general question of why he wouldn't be able to come off the PUP list later, what makes his PUP listing different than others.

Mays is on a 1 year deal also. -
Yeah might as well give the young investments a clear path. Depending on how things develop, we're setting ourselves up to be in a very solid spot for 2026.

Corbett is on a one year deal, which is twice as long as he'll be healthy based off of his career. I like Mays, a lot. But he was thrown into center because of the above. Christensen I guess is your 3rd? Another one year deal, who's maybe our LT, maybe our LG, etc. depending on injuries. -

I was admin on huddle like 15 years ago… I thought I was able to ban by IP. Maybe my memory is leaving me. I know how much effort Igo poured into this site. I honestly willing to pay him monthly fee not to sell it to anyone but I doubt he will anyways. The sentimental value he has vested on here is priceless.

No kidding on the play the young guys. We have 0 chance to win it all and maybe a 10-20% chance at a first round playoff exit. Clowney isn’t a difference maker so let the young guys learn how to play in the NFL.

Here's tonight's projected lineup from the Hurricanes official website. Jankowski is a GTD. Expect Roslovic or Jost to enter in his place if Jank can't go: Tonight's Projected Lineup... Forwards Svechnikov - Aho - Blake Hall - Kotkaniemi - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Jarvis Robinson - Jankowski/Roslovic - Carrier Defense Slavin - Burns Orlov - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Goaltenders Andersen [Backup: Kochetkov] - Injuries Jesper Fast (Neck | Out For 2024-25 Season) Scratches Tyson Jost Alexander Nikishin Jack Roslovic* Riley Stillman -
Yep. Thats why it never made sense. He was most likely out for most of 2025 and he was an injury risk and the 2025 RB class was loaded and the 2024 RB class was not. All signs pointed to an obvious don’t buy high on a 3 year (2 now) rookie deal when you can buy low with no injury risk on a 4 year rookie deal the next draft.

More career fumbles than touchdowns, never forget! -
I think we should have kept him, he can still contribute as a situational pass rusher. Last season he had to carry a bigger burden cause the defense had no depth

100%. It's why the debates will never end and can go in circles over and over again. Good for offseason fillers. I feel like even baseball can be a little blurry as every player isn't facing the exact same pitcher throwing the exact same pitches in the exact same circumstances. It's hard to fully compare most players in most sports without some sort of margin of error. I get what you are saying though in football being the hardest because it's the ultimate "team" sport. One personal screws up and the entire play can blow up. I do like what PFF is trying to do though. It also gets real blurry trying to analyze what a player did wrong or right without knowing the specific play called and exactly what SHOULD have happened in that play. Did the QB miss his window? Did the WR run the correct route the correct yardage out? Did the OL hold their blocks?
