  1. Past hour
  2. The difference is Kiffin's rep as a "QB tutor" which has not been very successful at the NFL level. Also, the limitations I stated do have a stunting impact. If I were advising an elite QB with a potential professional future, I'd definitely steer clear of Lane Kiffin offenses. There are ample coaches/programs that have a pretty good track record for sending quality QB's to the NFL.
  3. I think it is obvious at this point that even with support, which he definitely has at this point, he will never get going. Dude is who he is. If Bryce was just consistently average this is a 10+ win team and easily in the playoffs. But at this point he is just below average and that is never going to change.

  5. I think damn near every coach has a bad record for producing QBs because so few QBs are successful. Drake Maye looks legit, how was UNC before with Mack Brown? Howell hasn’t done anything, I don’t know if he was responsible for Mitch or if he came afterwards but that was a bust. Air Raid Texas Tech produced Mahomes and not much else. Allen was out in Wyoming, Burrow is the only LSU one and he was coach O, Lamar was Louisville with no one else. Riley might be the only coach with a defect track record with Hurts, Murray, Baker, and now Caleb. It’s why you draft the player not the school/coach.
  6. I know it's conspiracy theory but part of this has always felt by design as part of the entertainment aspect of the NFL since the team was forced to be sold. Enter Tepper as the narcissist, impulsive hedge fund owner relying on analytics over an ownership group. His impulsive actions on full display the first 5 years burning through multiple QBs, 4 HCs, 2 GMs. Everything trying to find the newest shortcut to success. Houston needed a new image quickly after the Watson debacle, and Carolina has an owner willing to ignore football guys and go with his analytics. Here comes the S2, along with tons of media coverage that the Holy Grail for finding QBs has been found and Bryce with a damn near perfect score. Then Bryce goes 1st overall, has one of, if not the worst rookie QB seasons ever, and the S2 all but disappears from being mentioned again. It’s all just a bit too convenient for my liking.
  7. When you draft a qb with a first round pick, you should always follow that up by firing the head coach that drafted him, and hiring a middle of the road dc who has never been a hc before. LOL.
  8. Reminder that the Bucs are 1-7 in their last 8 games.
  9. Saban consistently complains about the players and the payment of them being the problem with college football and that leading to his retirement, despite being one of the most notorious cheaters in the history of Division 1 football(widely known "secret"). Furthermore, this was all while his entire multi-million dollar house was paid solely by the Alabama alum. Also well known for being an asshole inside his profession. Now, he is a worse human being that most of the "elite" college football(or basketball) coaches? I would say yes, based on anecdotes I have heard and things I have read but it's possible he is more par for the course. But, yeah, he is a raging douche and a wild hypocrite.
  10. I didn't say he's the worst in history. I said he's one of the worst in history. This is statistical fact.
  11. Yeah, I think that kills our compensation. It would be fitting for it to end that way for us.
  12. Not 100% sure I can make it but I can provide participants with ample suggestions in that realm. Not a great area for IPA's or wild ales/traditional sours and the two big meaderies are now closed. Tampa Proper(Style strengths in parentheses) Magnanimous(Stouts/Barleywines) Woven Water(Stouts/Barleywines/Fruited Sours) BarrieHaus(phenomenal pilsners/lagers) Angry Chair(Stouts/Barleywines) Ology(Stouts/Barleywines) 7th Sun(Stouts/Barleywines) Coppertail(pilsners/lagers/clean beers) Hidden Springs(Stouts) Clearwater/St. Petersburg(Style strengths in parentheses) Arkane(Stouts/Fruited Sours) Green Bench(Pilsners/Lagers/IPA's/Wild Ales) Outlier Areas(Style strengths in parentheses) Corporate Ladder(Stouts/Fruited Sours) Calusa(Stouts/Fruited Sours)
  13. I don't think he's a horrible human, I do think he's basically a politician morally / ethically. Him consistently lying about NOT paying players while he coached Alabama is laughably false and misleading to his "greatness". But everyone was doing it, so I don't blame him.
  14. Yeah, I think Saban is an asshole but I'm but not sure I'd go as far as saying he's a horrible person. I think Kiffin probably is though. The worst type of horrible person. The type that acts like a nice guy knowing full well they're actively looking for ways to fug you over. Corporate ladder climber type.
  15. Nikishin was on the fourth pair in practice... Ghost - Walker Miller - Chatfield Reily - Nystrom I'll just leave that there. Rod knew what he was doing though, said he expects Nikishin to play tomorrow. Lol
  16. Saban is a horrible human being? What is your proof of this assertion?
  17. He's probably gone either way because his contract is up. His defense has produced very good results this year given the talent level. But I think we might benefit from a DC that runs a scheme that optimizes Horn's impact.
  18. The team did not activate either guard Robert Hunt or wide receiver David Moore from injured reserve, so they've been downgraded to out on this week's injury report. They can still be activated next week if the Panthers advance to the playoffs
  19. CHARLOTTE — The Panthers added depth at cornerback and linebacker heading into the regular season finale. The team activated cornerback David Long Jr. and linebacker Jacoby Windmon from the practice squad by standard elevation before taking off for Tampa on Friday. Those moves are a reflection of Robert Rochell (concussion) and Claudin Cherelus (calf/ankle) being ruled out on the final injury report on Thursday. https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-add-a-pair-from-the-practice-squad-for-bucs-game-david-long-jacoby-windmon-robert-hunt-david-moore
  20. And on this whole “Bama Bryce” thing. He lived off out of structure, when things break down, vs. lesser athletes in College. That has proven to not work in the NFL and was the concern for a lot of us from the get go, in addition to lack of arm strength and size.
  21. Yeah for sure (and please do). We have enough to get things started but could use all the help we can get.
