  1. Past hour
  2. It looked to me like the later rounds were littered with gifts to position coaches. How well versed on why this corner at 176 vs the other one, is Tepper going to be?
  3. WW We're top of the waiver wire til regular season week 3 when they start the new rankings
  4. The biggest problem we've had with this team since Rivera left is that we have become progressively more timid. Certainly on offense, but mostly on defense. Football is not a finesse sport. It isn't gentlemanly. You don't want to kill or injure opposing players, but it is essential that you knock them hard enough to intimidate them or at least make them pensive about every move they make. We used to be those guys. And we haven't been for a very long time. So, I hope Dan and Dave can bring us back to this. We need it. And a tough, hard hitting team always gives you a shot, even when you might not have the finesse talent on the field. Yes, it is a passing league, but scared or addled receivers and QBs change the whole game. We need our grit back. We've been a bunch of neutered Persian cats for too long.
  5. A couple of notable insights I gained from this: - Diontae Johnson seems eager to help Bryce progress in his career - Clowney is happy to be back home - Luke is essentially a FO spokesperson - Dan says he would've liked to have added more talent in the draft, and he seems eager to scour the waver wire for other team's cuts. It's easy to read into his statements that this roster rebuild is nowhere near complete in his eyes.
  6. Keeping fit is something that many people overlook until they are out of shape and therefore must work harder to reach their physical goals. However, the work put into keeping your body healthy is worth it in both immediate results and long-term benefits. Here are some tips on fitness that can help keep you happy and healthy for years to come. Set up your weightlifting routine around your fitness goals. If you are trying to create large, bulky muscle you'll want to do more weight, but with longer rest periods between sets and between workouts. If you are trying to develop lean muscles with high endurance, you want to lift less weight, but do it more often and with shorter rest times. If you're a person who likes to walk for your daily dose of exercise, make sure you bend your elbows while you're walking. Doing this will make you swing your arms faster and in turn you'll move your legs faster. Not only will you either finish your work out sooner or go further, but you'll burn even more calories while you're doing it! 7. Plymouth was the better group of hidden muscle from 1967-1970. Obviously the Road Runner was a popular choice, but with the Belvedere, Fury, Satellite and GTX all available with 383 and 440 engines, manual or auto transmissions, and a huge variety of options. The Satellite was the bare-bones edition, the Road Runner was the performance version with big block options and the GTX was the high-end version of the Road Runner. GTX had power steering, brakes, door locks, windows and factory AC with the same big block and performance of the RR. I'll take a 69-70 GTX big block convertible, please. Been looking for a few years now, but nothing worth buying for less than $70k and GTXs are hard to find.
  8. Part fluff, part insight into the draft and FA, as well as some interviews with Luke and Dan.
  9. Tepper may have been influential in the first rounds but if you go back to the team’s draft footage, it was always Fitterer or Rhule telling Tepper who they were about to take and him nodding or clapping about it.
  10. Remember in the 2020 draft Justin Jefferson was the fifth receiver selected. Henry Ruggs, Jalen Reagor, and Jerry Jeudy were selected ahead of him. Every year there are WR's selected high who bust. Nobody really knows, not even NFL scouts. XL could absolutely be better than either Marvin Harrion, Nabers or Rome.
  11. Today
  12. It was so refreshing seeing no penalty called watching this live as the Bruin wouldn’t let the stick go. The ref pointed at them after the hit, and it felt like the ref was just saying you got what you deserved for holding his stick.
  13. knowing how this team works, johnson will have a TD week one but Theilen will continue to be force fed, Mingo and Legette will have little impact on the offense, and they'll continue to trot out Miles Sanders to run for a yard every down then punt. It's worse than John Fox era.
  14. how is it changing your mind? you've seen nothing of the product on the field. WE SAID THE SAME THING LAST YEAR
  15. grass ain't always greener. people hated on Hurney and Ron like they slapped their mama. It's easier to do worse than NFL average than it is better.
  16. McAvoy putting shoulder and elbow into Kampf's head, drawing blood from the nose- no call.
  17. This was nice to see a no-call on, though. It should have been holding the stick (not called), and then Boston fans wanted a call for roughing or boarding.
  18. Yep. Nylander, Matthews and Marner got into it on the bench during game 3. Nylander, before last night, hadn't scored in 14 games or something ridiculous.
  19. No practice today. Media availabilities in an hour. I assume they practice before travel tomorrow.
  20. I don't know if he needed a surgeon back there. The gunslinger aspect aids WRs too. Think he just needed a more pass happy O. I mean, imagine if he got the target % Brandon Marshall or Andre Johnson or Calvin were getting in their primes. Bigger target difference between 89 and some other WRs from that era. I mean, you get to the point, 89 was rounding down to 100 targets and some were rounding up to near almost 200 a season.
  21. the national/canada hockey media are a bunch of fuging clowns when it comes to reporting about the canes, why does any canes fan still even read into any of that crap to any degree?
  22. Oh yeah the QB is huge in this stuff. Imagine what Smitty could have done with a surgeon back there. And some more offensive minded head coaches. It was always run heavy. He was one of the best I ever saw and people didn’t know who he was outside of Carolina, for the longest time.
  23. For sure, any college scout that touted Bryce Young as worth the first overall pick, needs to be gone. I don’t think the college scouts are so much the issue, I think it is the minds of the decision makers that have the most influence. If this draft produces, and Morgan was really in charge, maybe Tepper will develop some respect and stay back and let people work.
