I hate the NFL man. We have nothing to play for, really, so Steve Wilks is like "alrighttttt P.J., here is your shot" meanwhile everyone suffers. I'm happy for PJ. He had a franchise memory moment with the throw to DJ. I'll pull for the underdog a lot of the time but watching the football team leas by Sam or Baker just feels like I'm watching an NFL offense. As an aside, would be great if Corral wasn't hurt.

Young people have also believed "now - is the time -" to do anything idealistic and ideological because as they get old they actually begin to understand the "why". There is no statistically significant different between injuries on artificial turf and on grass. I feel guys prefer to play on grass because it's softer and more plyable which makes sense. However the research shows that there isn't a strong correlation between one field or the other in terms of injury.

You suck for Caleb Williams or Drake Maye. Those two are much better prospects than Young and Stroud anyway. This year you take either Marvin Harrison Jr., Jackson Smith-Njigba, or Will Anderson Jr. People here hate on Will Anderson but they also hated on Micah Parsons and they have the same exact measurable. Micah Parsons has been winning games for Dallas. So give me Will Anderson, Brian Burns, Chinn, Brown, Horn, and Luvu as a core for defense man. That is an elite group.

And to think all of you UNC guys were wondering if Mack should've been fired too. Wilks is the guy. Wilkes County is in NC. Wilks went to college in the county next to Wilkes County (Watauga). Tae Hayes went to the same college. Wilks loves Charlotte. Wilks will be the next head coach. Too many twine connecting to the same push pin, right on Wilks right ear.

So, what are our defenders...doing? For lack of a better word. This is not a play calling or coaching issue, the players are not executing. Did someone's dog die or wife cheat with another player? Like what in the world has these guys on defense so distracted? Also, Baker. It's so obvious he's much better in almost every way than P.J. I know Baker had issues early on but in his first drive without Matt Rhule, I was impressed. Looked like Baker from Cleveland.

This is a player problem, not a play calling problem. The guys playing right now are on autopilot and it shows.

Imagine that, 60,000 people cheering for a dude who knocks out women while claiming to care about domestic violence. The great irony of our time.

It's time to see what Baker can cook up.

Drake Maye and Caleb Williams are both quite a bit better than Stroud and Young.

Hooker is a one read QB in a defined read offense with a coach who is effectively QB'ing the team from the sideline. So no, Hooker is a no go and it's not even close. I was more impressed with Stetson Bennet and his ability to go through multiple reads and place the ball precisely. So, I'd rather have Bennett, and I don't want Bennett at all.

Steve Smith was built different. He was thicker bodied and had the attitude to go with it. Downs is like Dyami Brown or Jahan Dotson. It's not bad but it almost never translates to a 1 in the NFL. Give me Marvin Harrison Jr. to pair with DJ Moore.

No, he's a small speed, slot like guy. He may end up being good but I can think of two guys on Ohio State's roster who are better, one on Tennessee, two on USC, umm...probably a few others.

As I suspected, Hendon Hooker can't read defenses. He has a primary read and he never comes off of that read until its far, far too late. He has a lot of time to throw and just stares down his first read almost everytime he drops back. Kent State looked better against UGA than Hooker does. Their QB was going through reads and hitting his guys down the field. Hooker hasn't come off of his first read and made the throw all game long.

Suck for MAYE. Seriously, Drake Maye is the next Justin Herbert. If we screw it up by taking WILL fuging LEVIS I'm going to lose my poo. Draft Will Anderson or a star wide receiver, sign Brown and Burns, if Corral doesn't pan out you get a shot at a guy like Maye in 2024. We are going to be in another 3 year plan here so, I'm cool with shooting for Drake Maye in 24.

Give me the pass rusher who is a sure thing over a potential project QB all day. We already have Corral, if we suck next year again we take Drake Maye in 2024, problem solved.

That's the point I was making. How you can say Wilks is Rivera while saying McDermott is McDermott? The sample size doesn't exist as Wilks was scapegoated in Arizona.

What do we do with Matt Corral then? We didn't draft him to be a career back-up. I think you take Will Anderson, Harrison Jr., Jackson Smith-Ngigba. I think Stroud is going to struggle without all of that 1st round talent surrounding him in college. Pro's are a whole new ball game.
