looking at my phone the entire time during small group at church tonight. Paying no attention to what's going on as I look at talking heads opinions on our pick aswell as the bright minds in here's opinion aswell.

I'm going white. I live in Birmingham and will be expecting to see a frenzy of his jerseys in the Bham area with how the Bama fan base is.

This going back and forth is exhausting. This is the greatest set of minds the Panthers have ever assembled. I want Stroud but you have to think if Reich and Brown want Young they’ll have a game plan good enough to keep him alive. I’m also all for a trade down aslong as we get one of the main 3 QB’s.
-
I lean towards Stroud because I think he’s the safer pick but I get why people like Young. You can’t teach how smart he is or the kind of young man he is. At this point I’m accepting it, hope he can get up to 205lbs playing weight and wish him the best. NFCS is weak and for the taking. To root against our offense to prove a point would make you a terrible fan.
-
If you wanted AR we should of traded with the Cards and kept both of our 2nd rounders.

Dallas Turner is so good he’s the reason Drew Sanders had to go to Arkansas. Drew got hurt and missed a bunch of games. Dallas got his spot and wasn’t giving it up. Will be a top 10 pick next year.

Panthers re-sign Eddy Pineiro, cut Zane Gonzalez
PappyMay replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
He hits that kick and we don’t have Stroud or Young next year. Would have loved winning that game with all these ATL fans in Birmingham where I live, but hoping it all pans out. #keeppounding -
I hope we look at Eli Ricks while we are there. Was a stud at LSU his freshman year and looked really good the back half of the season at Bama last year. If worked out could move on from Jackson next year.

People think we over paid a bit, but every year the cap goes up and the market resets. All these deals will look friendly in 2024 if they play like they are capable of. NFC south is down. I really think we have a shot at it then make a run in 2024. Most excited I’ve been in years as a Panthers fan. I haven’t hated a single move we have done yet.
-
I would be shocked if they don’t add someone atleast like Mack Hollins. Feel like this staff is too good not to make 1 more addition in FA and one in the draft.
-
I read this as what would you like to see them address in the draft besides WR*** Corner- who knows if CJ Henderson is here in 2024 and we still don’t know if Taylor can be more than a JAG. Also Donte’s dead money isn’t terrible after this year if they decide to move on. Inside Backer- who knows how Shaq and Chinn adjust to their new position. Also Chinn is a Free agent next year.

Call me crazy but if we miss out on Brissett I kind of like the idea of Dalton. Seems like a locker room kind of guy who knows his career is coming to an end and could be a decent mentor.

I don't see logistically how we get JSN, I think he will be good aswell. And with no first rounder I don't see how we get Marvin Harrison when he'll be a top 5 pick if he repeats last year. I'm hoping we just get a solid #2 WR this year. Next year there is CeeDee Lamb, Calvin Ridley, Tee Higgins, Michael Pittman Jr. After that the next tier of Mooney, Gabe Davis, Jeudy, Aiyuk, Boyd, Hollywood Brown, an aging Mike Evans. Maybe Van Jefferson takes a team friendly deal to play for his dad and be our #3 WR.

How would you build the roster and draft?
PappyMay replied to BeenPounding's topic in Carolina Panthers
1-Stroud 2- Tarheel in me wants Downs, but go Musgraves 3-Tank Dell- he can be our return man too -
Based off Sporttac and the reported contract’s we have a little over 7 mil left to sign people. That does not include any money saved from the Shaq restructure because I haven’t seen details on it. Hopefully extend burns too to save a bit. Sign Campbell then Hurst/Geiski and let’s go get our QB
-
agreed. No way this isnt Young or Stroud and they got to see what they have.

Confused Why Some Seem to Think We Got Fleeced
PappyMay replied to Daddy_Uncle's topic in Carolina Panthers
It freed up about 10 mil this year and off the books after that. -
If Stroud is the next Herbert no one will think we lost this trade in a year. Let’s just hope he is. That’s who I want. If it’s Young I hope he can be like Murray without the maturity issues. Hoping for the best and supporting either of those two at this point.

So then, we’ve got a WR corps to build. What do y’all got?
PappyMay replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
I was crushed about loosing Moore at first because I'm a big fan, but now I'm looking at it as how do we replace 900yds and 7 Td's with the $10 Million saved and there are alot of ways. I'm hoping for Geiski or Hurst at TE and then one of Theilen/Slayton/Hollins/ Campbell at WR. Next year try to get Pittman jr, Higgins, or Jeudy for him. -
I don’t see them giving up 12 for 1 spot. Maybe they’d give up #33 which we could use on a weapon for whichever we take.
-
None are going to wow you but maybe DJ Chark, Hardman, Lazard, or Slayton. Maybe Reich reaches out to TY Hilton to see if anything is left in the tank. Does Jarvis Landry have anything left?

Panthers are now the betting favorite for the #1 pick
PappyMay replied to Martin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think I’ve talked myself into trading up. I used to be all about trading down and stacking assets but even if we do that what is the option in 2024. Build a great team and hope to get over the hump with Tannehill or Cousins? -
We were a .500 team with Wilks. I don’t think this staff would allow us to draft high enough to get one of them. Even if we sign a bridge QB it’s mostly the same team as last year with better coaching. Hopefully 1-2 upgrades spots Aswell. Really expecting a winning season this year even if it’s just 9-8z
