Can’t even say hindsight, most here knew the CMC, the trading up & the not trading Burns were real bad for football business.. Dude is 0-3 on decision for top-tier players/picks… Fitterer now reminds me of the kid from a story when I was a kid.. Kid has a dollar, another kid walks up & offer to trade his 1 dollar for 3 quarters, well, yes I’ll take 3 to 1.. another kid comes up & offers 5 dimes for the kid’s 3 quarters, he takes the deal. 4th kid approaches with “I’ll give you 6 nickels for your 5 dimes” and the last kid offers 10 shiny pennies for those 6 nickels, which he gladly took, thinking he was making out. He traded his 1 whole dollar for $.10… I love my Panthers fandom…..

Walls never had a compliment, Mangum was solid/decent, Rosario Dawson was hot in ‘Sin City’, thought Jeff King might do something but it was just a thought, but zero attention/assistance for the TE1.. even that spot is back-burnered…

Is it a too early knee jerk to say that ‘win one for thebigkat’ does not have the same ring as “Win one for the Gipper.”? let it play out, we know both Ejiro & Brown were reportedly considered for HC positions this past offseason.. they both could be poached, they both could still be here with Reich. Depends on if we continue the same path or make adjustments, game time & season depending…

What if Pickles was good enough for 2 more wins & Panthers picked 3rd? what if Reich had been better than 0-2, would Collins still get to the NFCCG? what if Cotchery did catch it? What if didn’t come down to points scored & Delhomme’s knee was down?

Foreman is their RB3, but yes, didn’t look great.. 1st game, he’ll produce up there.. hopefully Sanders is an upgrade, gon’ miss him if not…

All stats aside, game on the line, Panthers needs a defensive play to be made, do you think you’ll be hollering Burns’ name in a few seconds? I hope so but don’t think so… there’ve been players where you knew they’d step up.. 91, 51, 90, 52, 58, 59 were reliable, 0 is questionable….. watch Bosa play, there’s little to no doubt he’s prob’ly gon’ make a play, it’s more probable than it isn’t… Burns hasn’t showed that, he doesn’t have that… love for the game… Luke once talked about, and I’ve used this speech coaching girls’ softball, it’s the players that love the game that really excel. There’s lots of players that have the physical traits, and/or like the game, have the head for the game and are really good at the game, but it’s the ones that love the game that truly excel at their game… Seems to me burns is happy being in the spotlight, being the superstar instead of being the quiet beast.. Panthers fans have been spoiled with quiet beasts over the years….

Drunk spitballing, no gts as to stats & players available, yet… how’d we have looked doing both the Burns trade to LA & still moving up for Young? Not looked as in opinion but on picks & who could’ve been had in FA. Burns just seems to be riding the glory of a highlight player on a small market team, context is skewed… it’s potential vs reality.. like potentially a 15 sack season is awesome, but reality has shown 7:15 of Hardy’s sacks came in the last 2 games… they’re 2 different players, their strengths are different but my point remains… Burns is a want, not a need…

The year we signed Olsen I refrained from buying his & left it to the family as a Christmas gift. To the point that I expressed if the only gift I open is a G-reg jersey then I will be perfectly happy. Come Christmas Eve, I got my jersey but my inlaw that bought it was a tad slow. Instead of an 88 jersey, I got a 2…. Clausen… I did also lose my very first ever Panther jersey, Starter, got it at TJ Max for $20. Was dating a waitress at a sports bar in ‘03, let her wear for Sundays, we split, never saw her or that jersey again…. #14, Reich…. Smmfh…..
