Teddy was right!

The Panthers also let Daryl Williams walk and he is the starting RG for the Bills. I thought they gave up on him too early after his injury and apparently they did.

Rhule should be fired as he has clearly shown he is not a competent NFL coach. If he is not fired, my guess is he has convinced Tepper year 3 is the magic year as it was for his Temple and Baylor teams. I am not impressed with Tepper at all.

Sam Darnold likely starting again for last few games

I don’t think the Panthers could have made a worse mess out of the QB situation. I mean they are stuck with Sam next year so you might as well play him. -
We are DOOMED! Panthers expect Rhule back for 2022...WTF

Maybe Tepper will have a good soccer team. -
QB options are limited. Let’s just run the Wildcat or the Wishbone next year so we don’t need a QB.

The problem with firing Matt Rhule: Who would want to coach this team?
thennek replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
John Fox inherited a 1-15 team and had a respectable 7-9 record his first year with Rodney Peete as the QB. His 2nd year, Hurney brought in Jake and they went to the Super Bowl. This Panthers team has some talent but it is hard to see with the college coaching staff. -

Rhule will give up a 1st, 4th and a 6th to get Trubinsky. -

#75 for the Bills is their starting RG. Another former Panther that could/should still be with the Panthers. Guaranteed to be better than any other guard the Panthers have trotted out the past 2-years -
Rhule is convinced next year will be his big successful year with the Panthers because it is year 3. And year 3 is when he was successful with Baylor and Temple…LOL. Apples and oranges comparing a college program to the NFL. Plus if I am not mistaken he never sustained that success In college because he bolted in year 4.

Remember 2018 is when Tepper bought the Panthers. It has been all “down hill” since. He is going to lose his fan base if he has not already. Maybe his soccer team will be successful

Maybe Rhule should have holding the DBO sign to help

Nixon is OC for 5-games and that is it. This move looks like desperation. Firing Brady needed to be done but it did not fix the multiple problems this team has. Rhule should be fired just on how poorly the QB situation was handled. A rebuilding team giving away valuable draft picks with little value in return is another fireable offense.

Another point to this story is that it shows Tepper as a decision maker to extend CMC. I get the feeling Tepper is an “involved owner” on football decisions. This is rarely a good thing and could be why this team has only won 22 games in nearly 4 seasons since he has been the owner. 2018: 7-9 2019: 5-11 2020: 5-11 2021: 5-7

CMC was a great pick. Unfortunately the Panthers gave him a new contract that was preemptive and they grossly overpaid. If I recall correctly, CMC had at least 1-more year on the original rookie deal. His body breaking down with injuries should have happened on the last year of his rookie contract….then the Panthers would not be in this situation.

Rhule is worse than Seifert. At least Seifert had success in the NFL prior to the Panthers and was a Super Bowl winning coach. Plus he did gift us Morgan, Jenkins and #89.

Another typical Q3 for the Panthers -
If we don't comeback and win, Brady has to be gone tomorrow

Not a Brady fan and never thought he was ready to be an NFL OC. What confuses me is in 2020 under his offense Teddy, DJ, Robbie, and Curtis all had career years. The Panthers immediately dumped Teddy. So what is the difference in 2021 vs 202? Why is this offense so bad? Why did the Panthers WR all have career years in 2020? Teddy is not that good so why is it so much worse this year? Just my guess- NFL DC figured out the offense and Brady was not able to adjust. But I am not sure this is the reason…. -
Don’t know if true but rumors are that Hurney wanted to trade up for Justin Herbert but we held at #9 and got Mr Brown. If true, Hurney would have been right….

Washington should have traded him to Denver so he could be with Teddy B.
