What I realized about a Burns Trade:
Jay Roosevelt replied to SaltAndPepper's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why does it have to be to a playoff team? -
You do know Kyle Allen isn't here anymore, right?
-
wait ickey has been good this season?

He's been up and down. I still think he'll be good long-term, but consistency has eluded him so far. -
Seriously, do y'all want a positive vibes only thread?
Jay Roosevelt replied to LinvilleGorge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nobody wants a positive vibes only thread; things are too shitty for that. But just a little less wallowing in the poo would be nice. I've seen far too many serious threads/discussions hijacked by people who seem to do nothing but post about how bad Bryce Young is and how he's the biggest bust since Jamarcus Russell and can't throw the ball 3 yards past the LoS. Some of us occasionally want to have serious, logical discussions about film review, schemes, and individual player performance without the thread immediately being hijacked by 10 people whose only contribution is trolling those of us who want to have those discussions. The fact that some of the most vocal thread hijackers are actually mods only makes things that much worse. -

Yep. The good ole' Fitterer special! -
Let's Talk second round WR prospects...
Jay Roosevelt replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think the chances we don't end up picking in the 1st round are about 0%. If we don't get a 1st for trading Burns in the next couple weeks then we'll almost certainly trade up into the 1st round. -
The Safe Space - ZERO negativity allowed in this thread
Jay Roosevelt replied to LinvilleGorge's topic in Carolina Panthers
There's plenty to be negative about, but then there's the folks who are unreasonably negative and won't accept anything that conflicts with their mood. -

*Negativity* -
Better watch out; you'll make the mods angry with that kind of fact-based, logical talk.

I think LinvilleGorge is still riding the Kyle Allen bandwagon.

It's pretty bad when the mods become the trolls.

He's good, but putting up better numbers than he would be if we had anyone else resembling an NFL-caliber WR on the roster. Still, the fact that at his age he's the only viable receiving threat on the team and can still produce even though defenses know that is impressive.

Bears hire Phil Snow as a defensive analyst
Jay Roosevelt replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
I assumed he was at Nebraska with Rhule. -
If there was a re draft when would Young be taken?
Jay Roosevelt replied to Shotgun's topic in Carolina Panthers
They also could have had Stroud/Richardson. Bryce had nothing to do with it; they chose Justin Fields over all of the QBs. -

Still top-5 probably, but Stroud would be #1. He's shown more than a lot of people here want to admit. -
Reich handing over playcalling to Brown
Jay Roosevelt replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
No question this was a "suggestion" from Tepper. But good news regardless. -
Von Bell was playing really well before he got hurt. That one's trending toward a hit. Shy Tuttle, on the other hand...
-
Y'all have lost your mind if you think Tepper is going to sign off on cutting or trading Bryce after 1-2 years.
-
I feel like the issue with the deep ball is more timing between Bryce and the receivers, coupled with the lack of pass protection. There was one deep shot to Chark yesterday that Bryce got rushed on that would have likely been a TD with better protection.
-
Bryce will figure it out. Regardless, we need to at least take more shots downfield even if we're not connecting on all of them, just to keep the defense on its toes.
-
I'd have a lot more faith in them picking the right players in the 1st round, but Fitterer has been even worse than Hurney after round 1.
-
He's definitely exceeded expectations, but when your passing game is built around a 33-year old slot receiver you're not doing it right.
-
Y'all obsessed with Stroud.
