  1. Never really “liked” him. As my post read “I had no problem with him.” So him being off the team wouldn’t really affect me other than not seeing your nonsense posts anymore. I get not being high on Darnold but PJ isn’t the answer.
  2. If you really liked PJ so much you shouldn’t try so hard to make other fans not like him. Making every post about our backup player (who should have been cut) is only making many fans annoyed with you and him by association. I had no problem with PJ and I hope he has a great career but I found myself hoping he was cut just to stop having to see your annoying posts about him. My point is, if you really think he is the next big thing (which I don’t think you do), then sit back and enjoy the show. Everyone knows where you stand and you can have your “I told you so” moment if he starts and plays great (which he won’t).
  3. I said from the beginning it appears he was their 3rd choice. That one writer wrote an article saying how we were in contact with the Jets GM for a while and we’re always high on Darnold. This makes it seem more like they didn’t even know who he really was until the offseason. Maybe the truth is somewhere in between?
  4. Yeah that makes sense. Our staff should have been aware of his ability though and inquired about a QB struggling 3 years with a team that has one of the top picks. The writer just kind of makes it sound like we stumbled into this deal after failing to get two other choices. I don’t necessarily think that’s the case.
  5. It kind of makes it sound like he was their 3rd option (mentioned Stafford and Watson couldn’t materialize) and a bit of an afterthought to me. Don’t get me wrong he looks the part, but they seemed caught off guard almost and his tape while looking at another player’s tape. I mean he was a top 5 pick and a starter for three years. I would think someone on this staff would have known about his ability considering their expressed need of moving on from Teddy. I agree with most people on here that’s it all mental with him and he seems very coachable.
  6. In comparing Darnold to Lock, both have had small flashes but struggled in the league. The good news is Darnold had waaaaay less talent around him. I think it was more of neither franchise being that high on Fields or Jones than anything else..
  7. Man you have too many witnesses to go into straight up denial. We all are wrong sometimes. It happens. When called out you can accept it or pull a Shaggy…
  8. I doubt he has anything of significance… He needs to go back to listening to the MyPillow guy talk about this August takeover. Oh wait it’s September already??
  9. So he quoted a one shot rate vs a two shot? Move on my man. Don’t let it take up anymore time in your head.
  10. Newspapers. Still a form of media. They also trusted their health professionals. Q Anon would have trouble surviving without internet/social media.
  11. It’s just crazy how all these “free thinkers” happen to align 100% with one group of people. If it was free honest thinking from non partial, reliable sources that wouldn’t be the case…
  12. Disinformation is becoming our most dangerous problem. People keep posting baseless nonsense like it’s the facts and it has to stop. It’s one of the main reasons we are in this situation.
  13. It’s way out of context. He was talking about tying to learn NE’s complicated playbook in a short offseason.
  14. The good news is IF Darnold has a solid year, Brady will be a hot candidate for head coach and we can bump Sean Ryan to OC to keep some familiarity for Darnold. I’m actually satisfied with most of our staff from the GM to the QB coach right now.
  15. I mean this “make him play” poo is dumb. If he REALLY wants no part of it and they are forcing him to play (which seems ridiculous) then all he has to do is start throwing picks or fumbling snaps. I mean come on. They can’t MAKE him play a sport. If the legal poo dies down he may decide it’s in HIS best interest to play and play well. That however is a different story…. OP has a weird fetish involving rich owners forcing players to perform. It’s a dying formula… GB tried that with Rodgers and had to have an emergency meeting with stakeholders, rework his contract (where now they may get NOTHING for him next year) and have him involved in franchise decisions like bringing in Cobb. Julio just asked for a trade and got it. Watt just asked to be released and was. Teams don’t want players on their roster who don’t want to be there. It terrible for the team morale and the locker room. Houston is holding their cards close hoping the legal poo gets settled so they can get a king’s random for Watson. It’s not a terrible decision really…
  16. Starting QBs who want no part of the organization while also upsetting a large portion of the fanbase. What could possibly go wrong?! Glad this guy isn’t running any organizations…
