NO. You hire a consultant to hire a competent GM who will in have input on the coach. The ONLY exception is if you pry away or are able to get a superstar coach who wants certain controls, but even then it’s typically not advised. Boring answer. But this is how it’s done, period. For a reason. You don’t cling to Hurney and not able to interview legit GM candidates because he still has the title (and look really stupid btw) then let Hurney have input on the next coach before firing him and then let the said college coach have input on the next GM - let alone personnel decisions and mix up all these roles up like an idiot. Why? Well we have three+ years show you why. And other teams don’t do that poo. Tepper isn’t a path maker or smarter than anyone else. Tepper HAS to get over himself if he is to have any chance. Keeping Fit will show he cannot do that. This is all ass backwards and muddled. It’s a clusterfug CLEARLY from an owner that has ZERO clue how to run things even from a basic level. Darnold is a better QB than Baker. Sorry but it’s true. That doesn’t mean he is good, but still. Baker is absolute trash behind a much better oline, with CMC, and receivers aren’t dropping his passes left and right. Plus Darnold can actually run it. I might even go so far to say Baker has worse happy feet - it’s atrocious. Again that’s not saying anything other than just that. Darnold may have a shot of being a back up in the future on an elite team. Baker is just straight garbage. People just hate Darnold because he costs so much which isn’t his fault but truth is, he is better than Baker all things considered.

just my unpopular option but I think it’s all of the above, the roster is not talented enough. however that is a result of coaching. You see, the players simply aren’t good enough to play good football, it’s not accountability and it’s not a choice and Rhule put this team together. this team is trash. outside of a few players the team Rhule built is not good enough to compete in the league. it’s obvious. and his high school antics will not resonate with these guys, who aren’t good enough anyways. It’s a lose lose.

Wrong, if he wanted a change he’d had fired him after regressing last season and if he was smart in the first place he’d know better than to hire a college coach, small college at that. Then he offered him dumb money even after Rhule used the offer as leverage with the Giants lmao I mean I could go on and on. Absolutely not true. After 2003, our winning seasons, especially post season games are pretty hostile for the opposing team(s). And not just in comparison to losing seasons. I’ve been to several stadiums around America. Since we have never had back to back winning seasons, the momentum is lost so it was always hard to keep it going but if we are winning after mid season with a good team, home games after that are great.
