The only QB under contract is Teddy . We will need 2 more or 3 if we trade Teddy . Mimshew could not be worse than Teddy and will be much better than our 2 backups we had this past season . He will be cheap and has more experience .

Fitts will give all our conference foes fits !

Jordan Love or Mimshew might be worth a look . They won't command a huge price and they are still on rookie contracts . I went to a Panther game where Mimshew almost beat us and not because he was bad but the rest of the team failed . We could still draft a QB this year , but not be under the gun to reach for a QB .

Teddy will be a good backup QB . We need to restructure his contract because our other 2 QBs are not under contract next year . We will either draft a QB or try and pick up a vet . Either way we will still need a backup QB so why not just keep Teddy . He seems to be a good locker room guy and could mentor a rookie .

Both our backup QBs will be gone . Only Teddy is under contract . We can trade down and get Jones if the top 4 are gone . We could also get Newman later as a backup QB . This will give us extra picks . This could get interesting .

Stick with the plan . We can get at QB at #8 or trade down and get Jones .

The new GM should look at this year as his most important draft . Be smart and do the homework . I trust Rhule to make his voice heard .

Yo u win through the draft . Qbs are a crap shoot . Sometimes you get a diamond and sometimes a chunk of coal . You don't give up your future and a QB . Pay for better scouts to do their job .

If we see a top QB at #8 we will take it . If there is no top QB at # 8 we trade down a few spots for more picks and still get Mac Jones a little later . Not playing Jones in the senior bowl maybe because he was dinged up gives us an edge because Rhule watched him in practice and met him up close . If we pick him it will be because Rhule believes in him .

I wanted Newman before , but now he looks bad . He went from a 2nd round to maybe undrafted . I would give a 7th to see if he can get better.

Lets give them Teddy ,a second rounder, and a bo biscuit .

trade #8 down to about 15-18 and get extra 2nd rnd pick and maybe a 4th rnd pic. Then trade 15-18th pick for another 2nd rnd pick plus another 4th rnd pick. We now have 3 2nd rnd picks and 3 4th round picks . We draft Newman , an OT , and an OG with our 3 2nd rnd picks. We draft a MLB with our 3rd rnd . We use our 3 4th rnd pics on a CB , S, and best player available maybe a DT .

I don't think we can afford Watson or Stafford while keeping Teddy . Moving up in the draft will cost too much capital . We should stand pat and take best player available if a QB is not there . We could also trade down a few spots and still get a quality player and an extra pick . We then take Newman in the second or with the extra pic.

I agree . Stand pat and draft a QB at 8 or trade down if who we want is not there . Take Newman in the 2nd or 3rd . Build up our team with extra picks not fewer .

Rhule may not say it , but Tepper has . The only way we keep Teddy is to help our new QB and as the season goes on Teddy will be replaced as the starter . We will draft a QB this year .

It seems like the Panthers can never keep its coaches . I know that they all want to be a head coach, but with the money Tepper has we could keep one that does not want the added pressure of being a head coach . Teams like Clemson has built a program by keeping their coaches together but paying them like a head coach . Lets find a OC that wants to stay and build something .

If the top 4 QBs are taken , draft best player available (Parsons) and pick up a vet QB . We can draft a QB in the second round if needed . Maybe take a chance on someone like Jamie Newman . We don't need to make mistakes like Hurney by trading away picks to move up . You don't know how this will work out . We still are rebuilding and need all of our picks . We have a few players with trade value if you want to move up .

Teddy was a Hurney decision . Tepper and now Rhule is not on board with Teddy . With Grier now also done , we will bring in a Qb and maybe two . We must keep Moton and try to keep Samuel .

Most thought that Kueckly was a bad pick when we still had Beason. Gettleman knows his stuff. He will look ahead a couple years and decide what we need ready to start by then and who will be gone. Maybe Kalil, Johnson, Stewart, TD and someone else may retire or move on. The trick is to be ready. The Pats know this and always are in the hunt. Gettleman knows this and will have us ready.

Bersin will compete in training camp. Likeable guy but he knows he has work to do or will be cut. Gettleman will improve this team each year as he works his magic. He is cheap and others will have to beat him for him to be cut.
