Going out on a limb: The NFL Draft

What "Experts" are you listening to (and why/who care's)?

Thomas won't be drafted anywhere close to overall #1 like Cam (if he's drafted at all).

That's your answer/my response.

An it's a whole lot more out there. An i know he's know where near getting drafted where Cam did . He would be lucky to get drafted. But some QB needed team will draft him in the 3rd. Could he be good yes if i knew that i would be sitting in a nfl front office.

Wow that article is complete and utter drivel. Talks of Cams relative success in his first 3 years. Relative being the most prolific QB ever in his first 3 seasons. Thomas had 53 TDs in 3 seasons in a far weaker ACC. Cam had 50 TDs in 1 season in college, went undefeated in the SEC, won the Heisman, and won the National Championship. This guy must be fuging high.

while it sucks on draft day to pick right after a division rival, I'd happily pick last in our division every year.

no question. given what happen last year, how would you like to play against star twice a year for the next 10 years? im about 99% sure the iants would have picked star. then didnt have a second due to bounty gate and made a trade that got them away form the panthers. thats a solution for dave, package a few picks for another package of picks. iants need OL, WR, and CB same as panthers...... payback for last year is there for the taking.

Batter than Moses or Kouandijo?

I have no idea, but i have seen Bitonio in the late first/early second range on one draft site--(forget which, but he may be that high on several).  I would rather have Moses, not Cyrus--the knee scares me--I also read somewhere (Voth or Newton, maybe) that the Panthers were a team (or the team) who failed his physical.

Who knows?

Only 2 QB's go in the first round to Minnesota and Cleveland.

We take a DB, a WR, and a RT in the first 3 rounds

We take 3 guys with little name recognition and the Huddle loses its mind

The huddle losing it's mind is not going out on a limb.   That's a weekly occurrence.

the group of garoppolo, mettenberger, mccarron and thomas(hate, hate hate) will have better pro careers than carr, bridgewater, bortles, and manziel.

Well, considering only 1 or 2 of these guys go on to be long-term starters, whichever group ends up with that 1 or 2 is the likely winner.

My bold QB prediction?  Thomas never makes a final NFL roster.

We will have our best 3rd round selection since Charles Johnson.  I may not be going out on a limb considering the company:

Kug, Fua, McClain, Edwards, LaFell, Irvin, Connor, Godfrey

yuck haha

Good lord that's awful.  Hurney's 2nd round failures are well documented, but damn, that's just as bad.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
