whoa those posters who said BPA must really be wise and impartial draft gurus i mean afterall thats what the GM said man they sound just like him please enlighten us with further insight

do you need big men to win? do you have to run the ball and stop the run? does defense win championships? what other wisdom can you hold above us mortals?

it is what it is.

OL in round 1 and 2 the with 3rd and 4th get WR depth that can learn system and will be able to learn under our vets on one year deals, I can dig it.

Do you honestly think we're going to start 2 rookies on the Oline? ?

Why draft 2 Olinemen back to back when we tendered and brought back 5 or 6 Olinemen.

I just don't see Moses as being a lot better than the likes of Richardson from Tenessee and Richardson can probably be taken mid 3rd round or so.

I would like to trade back personally so we don't have to reach on a OT and we can get 4 quality picks in the first 3 rounds.

We can get a OT, a CB and probably 2 quality receivers by the end of round 3.

I think a team like Washington would bite on our 28th pick to avoid losing their guy at the top of the second round.

Like Kouandjio, Richardson would likely be rated higher if it wasn't for significant injury concerns.  Some people think both of them have bad knees already.

If a 4th round rookie WR starts for your team... then welp.

Allen was taken in the third last year, the round you are drafted in doesn't mean much. Ask Tom Brady. If a 4th rookie is starting at wr it's probably bc he worked extra hard and showed the coaches he deserves to start. I don't really care what round our number 1 wr is drafted in as long as we get one.

No, because we don't know how to build a team. Real good and tearing one apart. You take Cam Newton off the Panthers and our offense is easily the worst in the NFL.

but cam newton IS on the panthers and our offense won't be the worst in the league bc of that. You could do the whole "take so and so off this team an they suck" with lots of teams.

    • I'd hold on to Walker - we have no OT depth at all. Freeling is a block of clay - all the tools are there and he appears to have a great attitude. He needs serious work on his technique to realise his potential though.
    • From my watch last night: They weren't trading out of 19 unless it was a daft offer once Freeling got there. They were clearly antsy to get Hunter - and Minnesota actually called to offer the trade down. They weren't trading out of the third round pick once Brazzell fell to it (and Canales would have been happy with him in the second round). They traded back a lot on Day 3 - even if Morgan 'Babe Ruth'd' it with Lee, Hecht and Wheatley; they clearly weren't the only guys they would have taken at those picks. I'm curious to know which player caused the reaction at the start of day 2 (Dan Morgan): "of course they'd pick him"
    • Watching this confirms that this staff and front office is super high on Monroe Freeling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotta a real chance to win the starting LT job in camp. If he does, we can look to flip Rasheed Walker to a contender desperate for tackle help.   As for Ickey I still really like him and wanna extend him but based on how the staff was talking about Freeling it might be time for ickey to start taking some practice sets at guard if he wants to stay here as we are gonna have to have figure out a solution for the contracts of Lewis and Hunt.  My preferred scenario for the Oline in 2027 is Freeling-Ickey-Hech-Lewis-Moton.
