Morgan Moses vs Allen Robinson

Mr. Scot

Recommended Posts

Of these two very possible picks at #28, who would you go with?  State your case.

Frame it as a WR vs OT or BPA debate if you wish, and feel free to throw in other names.

(Cyrus Kouandjio, Joel Bitonio and Ryan Shazier are options)

Cyrus if avail...out of those two Robinson...I hate Moses...he has a cool name and beard, but if Cam Erving and Cedric Obeguhi came out then he would have been talked about as an option at 60...you don't want that with your 1st round pick boys I'm telling you.

I love Allen Robinson and have spammed this board with my thoughts on him enough.

If Cyrus is an option then he's my pick.

I like Robinson too but my preference for OL is well known.  I'd also be fine with Cyrus if his knee checks out.

This year's choice is a huge quandary for me.

Assuming the knee isn't an issue...I don't know his anyone could prefer Moses over Kouandjio

Moses simply due to the receivers left for later rounds.

That's a line of thinking I can agree with.

If the receiver position is deeper, then you take the OL early because the dropoff will be greater at that spot than at WR.

Except the knee is an issue, at the very least in that it inspires doubt.

Even the tiniest doubt can make a big difference in the Draft.

I think we are going to go WR and Robinson is who we are leaning towards assuming no one falls out of the top 20.  It isn't that I don't want an O line because I do but if the top talent is off the board then the guys like Moses or Cyrus have concerns to the point that they might not be a big improvement over who we could get at 60.  The same could be said about wide receiver but I think getting a big guy who can run the whole route tree is very rare in wide receivers and it means he could come in day 1 and contribute.  I am afraid that no linemen can come in and do the same.  Sure we could put someone there but in the past putting rookies ito the starting O lineup have not paid off very well.

Picking Moses to me falls into that if you "reach you get screwed" mentality. I see many people justifying taking him as they think we can just pick up a receiver in the 2nd. That would be 2 examples of locking into a certain position just to fill a need and I disagree with it.

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
