Huddle Podcast - Taking Calls at 9pm Tonight

Zod

Recommended Posts

We will be taking calls at 9:00pm tonight for the first official episode in our new Podcast series.

Tonight's guest co-host is Sammi Jo. Sammi covers the Panthers, Knights, and High School Football for WBTV, the Charlotte CBS affiliate.

We will be talking Panthers and other general ramblings.

Call (657) 383-0583 with any Panthers topic or any topic in general you feel worthy of listening to. You may call in as soon as 8:45 to be first in line. Callers are taken in order they are received. If you haven't called by 9:15 chances are you won't make it on air. We are trying to keep the podcast to around 30 minutes or so.

May I make a suggestion? What about having a contest of some sort to choose a Huddler co-host for one episode? It could be really good or really bad but would be very entertaining.....

The majority of the huddlers talk like the evil coach in The Waterboy

    • Some people will shift the goal posts but he does still have to consistently help the team win, eventually. Not only help but be the reason. That's what franchise QB's do.
    • One of the Carolina Panthers' newest defenders thinks their pass rush can go from worst to first. ESPN's David Newton recently chatted with outside linebacker Pat Jones II, who signed with the Panthers as a free agent earlier this offseason. Jones comes over from an awfully impressive Minnesota Vikings defense—one that ranked first in takeaways (33), fourth in sacks (49) and second in QB pressure rate (44.4 percent) this past season. And despite a historically-bad campaign by Carolina's defense in 2024, the 26-year-old seems to believe his new unit can be similar—or even better—than his last. "I definitely think we could do something similar, if not better," Jones said, via Newton. "I've seen it before, so I know what it looks like. I look around the building and see we have exactly what it takes to do that." https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/24/panthers-pat-jones-vikings-espn/83840667007/?taid=683219b347846900018fa10a&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter     It's the offseason.  Let hope spring eternal. (actually, I think we are much closer than this board thinks)
    • 5 total TDs against the Falcons was pretty good efficiency and he showed that ability to go off scripts and get 2 of those TDs rushing.  How many times did he deliver big time throws against pressure.  I agree we need to see this offense operate at high efficiency which starts with Bryce. When he does I hope the goals posts won’t shift to some other stat like QB sneaks lol
