Ron Rivera on the hot seat? **SMH/LOL**

OK, I am not going to presume (LOL) that any coach couldn't just have a monumental collapse and end up out the door, but, no, I don't think so; Rivera's seat is right comfortable.

At the start of last season, “Riverboat Ron” was sitting squarely on the hot seat, as nearly everyone in Carolina wanted him axed. Then, his team pulled off a miraculous turnaround, wound up 12-4 and atop the NFC South, and all seemed right. But a home playoff loss tarnished the season a bit, giving the naysayers something to chirp about once again. If 2013 proves to be an aberration, change could be in the cards for the Panthers.

And, Riverboat Ron is not the only ludicrous candidate on the list.

As an aside, I see comments all the time from people who don't really know poo about the Panthers (and Cam newton), but you'd think that some sites' (e.g., Cover 32) editors would just say "No!" sometimes.  That's the real point that I even brought this up.

Have at it, you ravenous cats!

There would have to be a serious reversal in the W/L record for Ron's seat to get hot, and if things go wrong and people start asking 'what's wrong with the Panthers?', Rivera likely won't be the first thing that comes to mind.

    • One thing I am surprised about is his passing and timing of the pass. He's much better than I thought in this regard. Smart passes while in a flow.    He seems to have deep range on his 3 as well.    I want to see him D up players that are not going to Amazon drivers in a few weeks. Spurs players did go at him some and he held up. It was a rough game, everyone going to need ice baths.
    • Yeah anyone who watched him play knows he's competitive. Doesn't mean he wasn't eventually annoyed with the losing situation and didn't put up a fight over being held out which didn't help matters. I don’t necessarily blame him. But the team did back up a brinks truck for his services so it's a two way street. Just for clarification. That is@TrevorLaurenceTime22 who once upon a time quit the huddle when McCaffrey was traded. Christian McCaffrey could piss on his head and he'd still compliment him.
    • there have been numerous 2nd rounders who have signed today as rookies report next week.  No word on Scourton.  Hopefully soon.  Really hope he reports Monday and we on to business on the field.
