Beer Gut

Jakob

Recommended Posts

I'm in top physical condition and I'm in very good shape except one place.. I'm starting to gain some stomach fat aka beer gut. Seems like everyone on here is a beer drinker like myself so tell me how you keep the beer gut in check.

I try to eat well enough to offset the beer drinking. For example yesterday I had a nutri grain bar for breakfast, lean cuisine and yoplait for lunch, apple for a snack and at dinner an average portion of grilled chicken breast with green beans and mashed potatoes. Then beer. Occasionally I have sweets like ice cream or cookies and that's what I really see weight gain from.

^Seriously. Sex burns an incredible amount of calories.

If not, there is a weightlifting saying that abs are made in the kitchen.

But it also lowers the amount of free testosterone, which lowers muscle mass and increases fat.

Gotta find a balance.

I drink craft beer too which is a lot more calories most of the time so in addition to watching what and how much i eat, i also dont drink any calories really. I pretty much drink black coffee and water until the evening. Maybe a soda or sweet tea occassionally but barely enough to mention.

meth....I've never seen a fat meth head!

let me know if you find a good solution though...even at 46 I'm in pretty decent shape other than my gut and I don't really drink that much beer, I'm more into the whiskey and rum etc...and yes I know...still full of sugars!

    • The same folks crying about the OL right now were crying about it in 2023 too. We have tied up over 100 million dollars in two interior olinemen alone. We've invested multiple first and second round picks in the offense. We hired an offensive minded head coach. This is an offensive team. The offense needs to produce or people need to be replaced.
    • This is the same place that has ridiculed and blasted Caleb Williams at every opportunity he has his team sitting at 10-4 in the same NFC that the Panthers are competing in. And their division in the NFC North is as or more competitive as our division. Yet from the same people who have very high standards for Williams we get every excuse imaginable for the smallest starting QB in the league even when he and his team continue to disappoint when the pressure is on. You lot aren't any less inconsistent than anyone else.
    • The Panthers are 9th in cap spent on offense this year.  However next season is already a different story  The Panthers as it stands right now will be 18th in cap spent on offense and 8th in cap spent on defense  The Panthers are currently set to spend more on defense next year than they are on offense this season Guys like Jaycee and Moehrig cap numbers take a big jump. Wharton has a massive cap hit   Jaycee Moehrig and Wharton in 2025 The same 3 in 2026 So this same defense as it stands right now will cost more in 2026 than this offense does right now… Got anything else you want to try?
