Pats claim RB Tyler Gaffney off waivers

Belichick is noted for calling other teams and asking them not to claim his players by saying he will return the favor for them on one player they designate. But if you refuse he will poach a player for spite. He did it to the Vikings.

I would like to hear Gettleman the next time ole Billy boy calls him.

I don't think it would be a family friendly greeting.

Gettleman is 12-4 as the GM. I will wait till the wheels come off before I get too critical of him.

If Pats want to snag our 6th round injured players, to go along with their annual stockpile of draft picks every year that has led them to 0 super bowls in a decade, good luck with that.

AFC East with Tom Brady at QB would make any FO seem good

After reading your last several posts and opinions on this matter and the FO in general, I am not surprised you signed off with a catch phrase from fugging duck dynasty.

I'm really not trying to get in the middle of your pissing match but "that's a fact Jack" has been around long before Duck Dynasty. You should watch the movie "Stripes" with Bill Murray. It's pretty prominent in there. Also....My name is Francis but everybody calls me Psycho. If anybody calls me Francis, I'll kill you. I don't like people touching my stuff. If I catch any of you guys putting your meat hooks on my stuff, I'll kill you. I also don't like anybody touching me.....if any of you start touching me, I'll kill you.

So fozzy who will be cut in a few days...... was so needed dave had to cut a 6th rounder? Put brokel or webb back there if you MUST have a body to hand off too, just another mistake by dave... no one is perfect. Blame tour de' stew some too, that guy always has a booboo. Plus if roles where reversed most here would be praisen don dave on his slicky move and laughing at the pats/bill. Its a sign of good faith not to claim a player like this, but there's no rule cause all teams would abuse it by placing 10+ players with "injuries". Last year panthers did the same for gaydosh and zolich aka white mike.

    • I see Bryce's development this way: He improved when his supporting cast improved.  TMac and Dowdle saved his arse last year, but in fairness, most good QBs have good WRs and good RBs--and good OLs.   The 2025 OL underperformed, actually. They were above average, but they should have been elite if you consider the salary cap.   As soon as we signed Lewis and Hunt, I started thinking, "That's not sustainable.  With Ickey about to get paid a LT salary, Moton and Hunt grabbling $50m per season combined, and Lewis around $17m--that would be nearly $100m and the Center just walked.  Yikes.  What does that mean?  Rico walks, Mays walks, and we do not have a top 5 WR on a second contract.  We do not have an elite TE, and only 1 is on a modest second contract. And now Bryce will demand $50m for his incremental rise to mediocrity?   So when we sign Bryce, we will get weaker at other positions.  Hunt, Moton, maybe Ickey and Lewis, will all be casualties--that is the right move regardless (not sure yet about Ickey, but he was not elite) Bryce is one lucky, entitled camper.  No competition since being drafted, and he lost his job for a while to the aging clipboard holder.  Now we are bringing in UDFAs and busts to compete with him.
    • Probably not.  If we are taking a QB, it would be a prospect to replace Bryce and not a flyer type player.  I can't say for sure, but I doubt he would have cracked the top 3-4 QBs even if he were to play this coming season.
    • The Giants, Cardinals  and Dolphins should have moved on, but they didn't and ended up cutting their QB early into a monster second contract and had to eat a TON of dead cap money.
