Trai Turner seems like a vet according to J. Jones.

Trai Turner is really making an impression according to Jonathan Jones of the Observer.  Apparently Turner is mature beyond his years.

Panthers coach Ron Rivera has said he’s surprised by the maturity of Turner, who is one month younger than Rivera’s daughter and the first player Rivera has coached who is younger than Courtney.

Nice!

Kalil has praised Turner since organized team activities in the spring. Kalil said Turner was grasping the playbook well, and he reiterated being impressed with Turner’s knack for the game at the start of camp.

OK, so we have the head coach and a pro bowl center giving our new guard high praise.  All we're missing now is the GM.

You may have a  "What else are they going to say?" type of attitude, but I get the feeling they are saying these things because it's absolutely true.  It's not like Rivera is known to exaggerate---I mean he has been scrutinizing the O-line, and Kalil is the consummate professional who has no need to shoot rainbows up our backsides.  Moreover, Star Lotulelei also noted that Turner is a hard worker.

One thing about it: Turner will be battle tested by some quality DTs by the time the season begins.

“When you have a six-, seven-, eight-play drive and now Star comes out and Dwan comes in or KK comes in, it’s like man, I don’t get a break!” Turner said. “They come in fresh when you’re tired. But it does nothing but help you prepare for the season and help you prepare for what you’re about to go through.”

Kinda funny, but true!

I told you our OL is fine!

Yeah I think our oline is in good hands. It won't be the best in the league but I highly doubt we have the worst oline. Somewhere around the middle is what I expect by the end of the season which is good enough for what we are trying to do.

    • He’s also 21 years old. I don’t know why fiz is so eager to label him a bust
    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
