Any audiophiles around? I need new music!

I need some new music, I generally enjoy anything good, but I've been listening to the same group of artist for a while now and am looking for a change up.  Unfortunately only one of the bands I listen to is releasing a album this year so it's a bit of a dry streak.

I did recently go on a '90's grunge binge since Nirvana got inducted to the HOF, and I have enjoyed it but would like to listen to some new stuff.

My favorites are Bluegrass and Folk music but really as long as its good I'm game.

Check out a NC bluegrass band on YouTube called Carolina Chocolate Drops.....they're not your traditional bluegrass band but the music is very good and original.

One of my favorite bands is Rage Against the Machine....When I get the urge to rail against the establishment - I just turn them on and turn it up.

Give St. Vincent a try. She'll be touring with The Black Keys later this year.

Speaking of the Nirvana HOF.. Annie Clark of St. Vincent played in the concert and killed it.

Youtube vid below.

For me personally get Massive Attacks Mezzanine ... One of the best sounding CDs ever. "Angel" is a great song that builds up and gets me to a transcendent state.

I've really been into Vulfpeck lately.  As a musician myself I can say these guys are high talent.  They also "scammed" Spotify out of $20k by uploading an album of complete silent and having their listeners stream it while they slept.

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
