I don't think that you understand that we've never seen such rampant nut huggery of a draft prospect literally ever. Just answer me this, did you at least swallow when you serviced him?

Everyone has their favorite draft prospects every year, but you took it to a level never seen before. I can see it now, you still posting about how this guy would solve all OL issues 10 years from now. 7 years after his bust of an NFL career ends.

I can't believe how many people wanted him in the first round. And I'm not basing that off tonight. Maybe his other recent 2+ sack give up performance

 

 

Well, you have to consider we're not able to see into the future.  No one knew for sure if Cyrus would be a bust or be a solid contributor.  However, it was only a couple of series in the first preseason game.  Cyrus will need some time to adjust.   Just like how freshman redshirt their first year in college.  It's a big transition from college to pro.  Give him some time.

Many said he has a 5-6 year career given his physical shape.

 

The big deal was how many people who were claiming he was a plug & play LT to off-set his projected short career.  

 

And like I said, I'm not speaking from tonight.  Maybe his terrible performance his last college game he had to publicly apologize for.

      I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.

      Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
