I knew a guy who passed a couple of yrs ago who up to that point was the longest tp live with ALS. Like 16 yrs or so.

It always seems to get people who are very good athletes.

I wonder why that is? I knew a guy that went to school on a track scholarships that passed away from ALS. Weird correlation.....

Sad to hear.

Most ALS victims only suffer physically from the disease.

My favorite uncle, Tim, was one of the few that the disease stole his mind.. The last year if his life he was mentaly

an 8 year old, although he remembered being a much smarter man. He was often angry as you could imagine.

Such a terrible disease.

I miss my uncle Tim.

Prayers to Shaw and hus family.

Just donated today, not because anybody challenged me though

Steve Gleason's probably the most covered recent case. He had a special on the NFL network about his struggle. It's a fuging horrible disease you wouldn't wish on Hitler if he were still alive. I thought I read or watched something somewhere that said repeated concussions can trigger it, but I'm not sure. If true, it's probably the reason this has happened to a few NFL players who are still young. Lou Gehrig also apparently had at least a handful of pretty bad concussions in his career before his infamous diagnosis years ago.

Ravens love Flowers. Egbuka was a strong OROY pick   Seems like a great spot with these recent picks.......Best value has been WR....
    • false rumor, he's a team leader.  No clue what he is worth.....Rico came off the streets for 2.5million and put him to #2 for weeks. I doubt a team would give much more than a late rounder. Like Frank said above, 5th would be tops and very lucky.  He's got a fair contract and is well liked by players, coaches, and FO. No reason to trade.
    • Set us back a few years but..a decade? lol what are you smoking man.   only 2000s move that’s come close to actually setting a team that far back wash owns trading for Deshaun, thankful we didn’t win that “sweepstakes” at least    I know hyperbolic commiseration is all the rage here but no team in the NFL is more than a few years away from competing if they go about things right (“right” being the key word here) just in the last few years see: Lions, Patriots, Broncos, Colts (pre DJ injury)
